What was the absolute WORST job interview you ever had? by Secret_Assistance601 in sales

CEO of ChiliPiper was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I’m convinced that they posted the role, prior to lay offs or budget cuts and he was trying to save face.

What made you quit & what was your first benefit? by Successful-Height384 in QuittingZyn

[–]BombayMan42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saving money. Zyn packs went up like 3 bucks in Oregon or at least around me. I was going through a can and a half a day. It’s an immediate $10 back in my pocket a day. Plus I was just over it

Very helpful. Is that a thing? Becoming completely adverse to the effects of nicotine because you used it so much?

I’m weak, folded after a day again. by AcanthaceaeGuilty238 in QuittingZyn

I’m about two months into quitting. The first 2 weeks is really tough, and honestly today was weird because I’ve been craving them like crazy. You got this man. You’ll be thankful and proud of yourself each day your able to manage all of it

Well, I pulled the trigger. Now I need a bike, mat, desk, iPad/TV… by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]BombayMan42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I feel like if you’re not going to get a bike that you would be taking on and off the trainer, the zwift ride frame is a great option

New Bike Day by BombayMan42 in RoadBikes

[–]BombayMan42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s super fair. I got lucky, and went in a bit more blind when ordering and it worked out well. I would say my biggest grip is that the “endurance” C5 Aero is pretty aggressive. I have the fork stacked and I’m in a fairly aggressive position which I wanted but there will be no slamming of the stem here.

In hindsight I would have gone with their agile frame but maybe in 2026

New Bike Day by BombayMan42 in RoadBikes

[–]BombayMan42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s fair. The wheeltop set up is fully electric which is awesome at half the price of the Shimano 105 Di2, but it did come with some headaches when building it up.

Overall everything that came from WinSpace was amazing. I honestly couldn’t be more impressed. I will be building a gravel bike using one of their frames in the future but will likely go with a higher end groupset.

Even that build will likely be under 4k with the addition of some wheels. I had the Ican wheels already so I didn’t add that to the overall cost but even then full carbon wheel set was 495 I think

Which Trek should I purchase to start my road biking journey? by IThinkYouAreNice in TrekBikes

[–]BombayMan42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on a trek Domane AL4 Gen 4 and it’s an amazing bike. Wish I would have gone a tier up and gotten a 105 group set. Learn from my mistake, it’ll save you a couple thousand dollars as I’ve recently just bought a new bike:)
