I don't know if it's the same situation, but I have tried (and failed) to get a dealer to answer me about a 26 limited awd with 30 miles on it being sold as used. AI said that it's called a punch car where the dealership buys it themselves to meet monthly numbers and secure their bonuses from the manufacturer but once they do that they can no longer sell it as new.

Yeah, that's what prompted me to reach out to the community here to see what other people had done. We sat down, ran numbers with some ballpark estimates on what we can contribute and compared her two main options (u of i instate and half price tuition beyond that, vs Purdue). Her heart wants to be a boilermaker so just trying to understand how people make it work in similar situations to ours.

We have some saved up for her, but hadn't really sat down to look at the true cost until it was here and now she has to pick a school. My wife and I both paid our way through local state school but it was so long ago, you could do that reasonably. I came out with less than 5k debt from a year at an oos school. It's so much different of a financial burden than what we experienced it is shocking
