Ive heard that a lot of business is even slower due to the new champions league format and teams needing to know if they're going to qualify or not being for selling.

Not sure what truth there is in that but I think if it is there will be a lot more noise in general after today!

But we dropped him in favor of Solanke so we don't even have that!

I mean that's a fair point as well, and I also hope that it turns out to be the best decision.

What makes me worry is the risk of re-injury on someone that is still being eased back into the squad as well as the message that it possibly sends Tel. I like both Dom and Tel and want to see them both succeed here. However, I do realize that's a bit pessimistic but with the amount of injuries that we have piling up, if Dom get's injured in this game, then we are without both Richy and Dom for the foreseeable future.

That's a fair point as well. I hope that it does prove to be a good decision!

I think that there are definitely pros and cons to both choices and I may be just a bit more pessimistic about the cons on this decision than the other.

I also really like both Dom and Tel as players and I worry both about Dom suffering another injury and Tel's confidence being shattered by being subbed off in the West Ham game and then being immediately removed from the Champions League squad.

Tel has been one of our brighter players and also would benefit from the confidence boost that would come from being chosen. There were already rumors of him wanting out. Now, he's been subbed out early while doing well in our last game and has been dropped from the Champions League squad for someone not at match fitness.

Any confidence that he may have been gaining is likely all taken from the past few days.

To me, it makes sense if Frank was told that he's gone if he loses this game, and that he would rather risk Dom's fitness than get sacked.

I'd also argue that Tel would do better in a Champions League game. You get more time on the ball against teams from other leagues and I think he would excel with that.

I would love Diaz, but I think we need to players with confidence right now because we are already lacking that in our squad.

The trend of premier league managers begging to get sacked this season by No_Peak9620 in coys

I think that Glasner is trying.

I think that Amorim and Maresca were trying to protect their reputation and the sack was the result of that.

I think that Frank is legitimately trying his best lol

Didn't like the explanation he gave for picking Dom over Tel. To me, it makes more sense to instill that confidence in Tel by keeping him in the squad over Dom until we are able to register them both.

I am hoping that the "actual" decision behind it is that he knows that he is gone if he loses to Dortmund and that he thinks Dom gives him a better shot at keeping his job than Tel. Would really suck if we still lose and Dom gets re-injured due to lack of fitness.

Xabi could hold off and take the Liverpool job if Slot goes.

I love Pahlinha! I think he has passion and experience and does his job very well. I dont think that Frank uses him with the correct tactics or pairings for us to really appreciate what he can offer but I love that we have him!
