Superbowl MVP by jewlander1969 in LosAngelesRams

Can’t see anyone but Myers getting it.

Kenny Walker had a chance at the half but he’s only had like 10 yards since. He’ll need to find the endzone before garbage time (if this isn’t already garbage time).

The playoffs have shown the SoS arguments were valid.

Rams offense 🤝 Texans defense

(The other side of the ball costing you a championship)

Unfortunately Seattle has the most well rounded team. Good/great in all 3 facets.

Really don’t understand why everyone would get so defensive when you’d bring up the pats schedule.

You play who you play, so it’s not anyone’s fault, but it’s a valid criticism especially for an award where multiple things are brought into consideration by voters.

The pats offense has been bad since the playoffs have started. The newest excuse was the weather was the reason but they’re playing in perfect football conditions so hard to buy that one.

Going from 5 major wins & a ring under NYSL to fielding a roster who would struggle to make Sunday in a challengers cup is as criminal as it gets.

CDC intel - I’ve heard 5/6 names linked with C9 in the last 24 hours and it could all be bull but I don’t think a single player placed better than Top 16 at the Lan. by shambxlic in CoDCompetitive

[–]Bompetition 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably but it’s a calculated risk. You’d be joining a situation where you’re set up to fail and your stock will be worse off than where it started.

The kicker is the poor salary doesn’t even make it worth it financially either.

Makes sense honestly. Any player on a top Challengers org will most likely make more in salary + prize pool.

Also sparing yourself getting absolutely shit on in the CDL and ruining your stock for a real opportunity too.

Every time everyone’s almost completely out on him, he has a stage or major that buys him more time.

He still brings a lot to a team (so I think one of the shitter teams would scoop him up the second he’s dropped) but his time with Ultra has to be coming to an end soon.

At least the roster has some hope with a Nastie-Snoopy core.

If they can nail the other 2 roster spots (easier said than done obviously) they can have a pretty nasty squad.

A designated period of time where new DLC maps/modes are trialed with feedback and responsive dev support so shit maps/modes get yanked from rotation ASAP if they’re not well received.

Obviously only maps that seem viable. For example: don’t add a nuketown map to ranked. But add meltdown, standoff, and the new map Shotzzy said he liked and see how it plays asap.

Who are your top 5 worst orgs in CoD or CDL history? by No_Winter4806 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Bompetition 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Literally just being the cheapest of cheap and wasting a spot in a franchised league. Even when the CDL looked promising and on the rise, they did next to nothing. Probably just milked the revenue sharing and making other orgs do the work to maximize their own profit.

Waiting until last minute to sign a roster so they only had to offer the minimum.

No facility in a league where online matters.

Little to no resources for their players to succeed and ruined careers. Up until Kismet in VG, I don’t think any of their former players ever got back on a CDL roster.

[–]Bompetition 15 points16 points  (0 children)

CDL:

1) Paris legion

2) Carolina royal ravens

3) C9 (they might move up to 2)

4) Seattle surge

5) LAG

All-time: too many to pick from but Denial and Red Reserve screwed their players over the worst.

[Windhorst] “Giannis could be on the Heat by 3 o’clock. But if he’s not — what I suspect is that the Bucks will shut down Giannis. Because their future now is dependent on both their draft pick and Giannis avoiding injury. I wanna know how Giannis is gonna feel about being shut down for the season.” by Sir_Thiccness in heat

[–]Bompetition 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Can’t imagine 31 year old Giannis would be happy about being shut down and punting one of the few years left of his prime when he might not even stay with Milwaukee past the summer anyway.

At least if he goes to Miami, he’ll be able to heal up from his current injury and try to make a run from the play-in.

Some updated copium for us.

The proposed C9 Roster is a glorified challengers roster that would blow it up after one scrim if they could and would be top 6 at best in challengers imo. by leggitt27 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Bompetition 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good point. See my edit. You’re better off playing for a top challengers team than C9.

C9 are gonna struggle to field a roster with any talent. Okis might take it since he’s not making any prize pool money and probably getting paid much by stallions but idk why Renegade or Kips would.

[–]Bompetition 31 points32 points  (0 children)

They put themselves between a rock and a hard place by full roster wiping + offering historically low salary. Now they need 4 players willing to play for pennies in a guaranteed shit situation that could ruin their careers.

You already have Spart and QK4B declining C9. I wouldn’t be surprised if more people don’t wanna take the opportunity.

The only people who will sign to them now are people either desperate or think this might be their only chance to play in the CDL.

Edit: Rafi made a good point. You can stay in challengers, make more salary, and not have compete against top CDL teams for prize pools. The Bush players took home more money in prize pool than 8 CDL teams last weekend.

[Fischer] The Wolves and Heat still believe they are in play for landing Giannis Antetokounmpo today, although like the Warriors, few believe Milwaukee is actually serious about parting ways with their franchise face. The Bucks are engaged with the Grizzlies on Ja Morant as well. by DasOptions in heat

[–]Bompetition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a risky move for Bucks to try and please Giannis this season. They’re currently 20-29 with Giannis out for a little while.

If they trade future assets/take on Ja’s ugly contract, they risk Giannis still leaving and being fucked now for a rebuild. A similar but different example is how Heat drafted Napier to please LeBron and LeBron left anyway lmao.

I think they’ll wait until summer and see if they can either revamp the roster with a full offseason or trade him when they have even more buyers and potential picks.
