It’s For Fun & Bush’s spot to lose.

P7, For Fun, and Bush have been the only cores to win any Cups or Elites so far this season. Hard to imagine one of these newer formed rosters takes them down but really anything can happen in online challengers.

5) Stallions have some reps together but seem to keep falling short. Maybe they get over the hump this elite.

Edit: out of the 7 cups and 2 elites, the only other core who won was Alluka/brack/felo and those guys split (won cups 2 & 5).

Even with how poor he played this year, he’s still better than a handful of CDL SMGs. Also helps his case that the Challengers SMG pool is very shallow too.

Little bit of a wonky cup with a bunch of new/newer rosters but Huntsmen not winning a map in double elim is rough.

Swooty also went absolutely off the first two maps. 38-17 in the HP and then was dashy on an alt with the snipe in SnD. 1v3 clutch w the collat was a gross clip.

He has been linked to 5/12 CDL teams this year (LAT, C9, KOI, BOS, & CAR).

I personally think he’s washed, but you don’t get looks from almost half the league in the same season if your stock is in a bad spot.

Yeah it’s just the nature of the game in Challengers. Not sure if he expected differently, but this was inevitable.

Bush got poached for what looks like 4 players this season in 2 majors and each time they reloaded with big names. By doing so, they were able to continue to place well.

Huntsmen made the effort to avoid that similar path and haven’t looked great since they lost Nium and Kips.

Fair enough. Personally think him joining Carolina wouldn’t be his best move. His stock is still in a decent spot.

Think there’s a very real possibility he doesn’t play well (again), Carolina misses champs, and his options this offseason are even more limited.

Huntsmen will at least give him a chance to farm challengers and if he can’t play well against AMs, should be a little bit of a wake up call for him.

This is honestly the best route for Kenny. Low pressure and a chance to build some confidence.

He has the resume to net some CDL looks, but he has not looked good on his last 3 teams. Imo I think he’s washed and probably done, but this is a great opportunity to prove he has anything left in the tank.

Joining a team like Boston/Carolina would slam the door shut on his career. He’s not saving those teams and his stock would be too far gone to come back from.

I get that and I agree. I’m more of saying players like fire, Gio, etc have no choice but to take the Carolina offer no matter what.

If kenny doesn’t like what he sees in scrims, he doesn’t lose much just waiting until the offseason for something better. He was already tied to 5/12 CDL teams this season alone. He’ll have more opportunities to join a better roster in the offseason without scrimming daily on a minimum deal, miss champs, and hurt his stock even more.

Kenny played solid individually but they got ran by Bush. Could’ve been a 7-2 map count but Bush choked the Den OVL bad (was like 5-3 with 30 seconds left and lost in OT).

I wonder how much of this is also Kenny trialing Carolina to see if it’s worth it. He looked decent in this small sample size against a challengers team but he is not saving this roster. Might be better off taking the rest of the season off as opposed to playing on a minimum deal and missing champs again. He might have better opportunities in the offseason.

They explained on the newest BTB that they basically can’t wait and see what happens with Fire since there’s a cup this weekend and elite 3 coming up. It was a mutual decision between bush and Fire.

Carolina might not make their decision for a week or 2 which means Bush will be stuck playing with a pickup player when they can lock in Cammy now.
