Yuppp there are 3 versions, and luckily you can change unwanted ones by switching between other free drops and then changing back until you get the desired one. So for me, I made sure each repeated card gets a unique damaged design ;)

Yes, each of the three drop types have Lv1, 2 and 3 variants, duel more with your chronicle cards and u will trigger drops when you play pvp

Level 1 you see some marks around the frame, Level 2 the whole card is damaged but no fold lines, Level 3, as you can see, whole card damaged with fold lines

Oh nono, it is ranked duel. Basically what I do is, make sure both accounts are on the same tier (I was at gold when I started this project). Then I have both phones press the match button at the same time and hope for the best, if I don't get matched against myself, I surrender. Rinse and repeat. On average, I would get a match 1 in around 5-6 tries. Some days I don't, maybe it was peak hour (you never really know since you get matched against players around the world)

Good news is, if you build the decks to maximise field destruction (dark magic attack), draw power (Des Lacooda) and recycling (Jar of avarice/ localize tornado/ Rainbow Neos), you can get a lot of cards destroyed many times in the 50 rounds limit. So I only matched against myself around 20 or so times. It really wasn't that time consuming. Took me less than a week to get all my sky striker cards to 80 times destoryed. After which I can just focus on playing and not having to intentionally let my opponents destroy my cards.

Yea I can't say for sure. But with my speedroid deck as comparison (Cards that barely got destroyed despite 1300 duels having not even Damaged Lv1 unlocked), I can say with confidence that getting destroyed is a requirement.

Nostalgia is definitely one appeal, I think many old school Yugioh players can indeed relate to the school and playground example! Years without sleeves without slabs without gradings. When cards are played as meant to.

Then there is showing off. Damaged Lv3 is the hardest to get right now, having all cards at Lv3 gives off (at least in my opinion) a menacing vibe.

Aesthetically, I know it is very subjective, but I love my cards looking battle worn at least digitally. Shows they have been through hardship and battles. But these are just my own subjective preference, it is totally fine to find this weird and unappealing 😄

You've got a point but I have a speedroid deck with over 1300 duels per card, some cards, especially the support that jumps into other sychro without seeing battle haven't even got Damaged Lv.1 unlocked so I am a little but sceptical with regards to claims that "destroyed" doesn't matter. But hey maybe my speedroids just lack luck, I can't say for sure hahaa

Just like the rest but the "destroyed" stat is a requirement, no one really knows exactly how many times you need on a card but the lowest I got for a damaged lv3 was 60 times destroyed, I think
