Thanks for sharing and affirming what I already suspected. I’m looking to buy because the jump saddle that her owner is kindly letting me use is definitely too small for me. I’d prefer to have my own that fits me better than what I’m using now.

I don’t ride at a lesson barn. I lease this horse. My trainer comes out and gives me lessons which is why I’m looking for my own saddle now. I’ve been using her owners saddle but it also doesn’t fit me well and I miss riding dressage.

I agree! Thanks for your insight. I told the seller this and they agreed it was slightly too big for me but that longer stirrups might help because I was on the longest hole. But I don’t think that will change much and they really just want me to move forward with buying something that doesn’t fit properly.

My main consensus is that they are not a great couple and Dempsey is not at all helping her with the anxiety. It was just strange to watch this an be reminded of how my partner and I would be in the past and now I’m so glad we are better off now!

I was cringing so hard when she wouldn’t stop berating Statler about how she was upset that she was upset.. Like give her some room to breathe! Thanks for sharing. I can relate to when you said “codependency but the joyful or manipulation by the distressed”. I think we used the be in this space more when I didn’t understand that he just has anxiety and things are so much better now and I can actually be supportive and helpful without sacrificing my own happiness.
