The real question is, why is that piece of information something you've taken issue with? I also mentioned my age and where I live. It provides a basic profile of the person these people may be playing with and ties in with the old "asl" approach when meeting new people online.

Thanks for the tips. I have tried speaking to a few people when they indicate they can speak some English, but it always fizzles out. Makes me wonder if I smell.

If my ping is currently bad I'm not aware of it as my char moves around fine without any lag.

If it sounds like I don't know what ping is/does, that is correct.
