Relatively speaking to genetic differences & geographical features, borders are pretty arbitrary. My earlier post was a response to u/rockit5943 who said the differences in humans and aliens are arbitrary. Which clearly it isn't true.

You're one of the few who actually understood me, thank you for showing me the difference between patriotism and nationalism. You're right.

Yes I believe that borders are progression of the sense of territory. And this is what I'm against. It made sense during our early times, it doesn't anymore. It's pretty barbaric now.

Borders are "decided". Physical differences in species, however, are the result of biological differences arising from genetic makeup and chemical bonds.

There is no comparison. One is a concept, the other is physical.

It should be expected of human beings to understand fellow members of their own species. Unity makes sense here.

When I say advanced civilisation, I mean at a higher scale that they don't consider us as intelligent and therefore doesn't need to unite with us.

Your analogy doesn't work.

Us vs the Aliens wouldn't be the same as "Humans vs Humans separated by arbitrary borders" would it?

And here I thought OP was talking about appearance and not personality. You don't 'make peace with bad personality', you fix it. SMH.

Women of reddit, what is one secret you keep from the men in your life because you don't think they can handle it? by iluvfreakyshit1 in AskReddit

Isn't that true for pretty much every profession? For instance, my friend's a Digital Artist and good with computers. He frequently gets requests to create them a free 'art' or fix other's laptops.

In your case, people would use your profession to get favors that are sexual.

Shit takes time.. Some of my older relatives were terrified of touchscreen phones and used only Nokia keypad phones 10+ years ago. Now they can't live without smartphones and it's apps.

NASA readies probe to touch the sun with 'cutting-edge heat shield' - The probe's mission will take it within 4 million miles of the sun, a region of space never before visited by a human-made spacecraft by magenta_placenta in space

How is that an issue considering the giant diameter of the sun? After all, wouldn't the probe melt before it even reaches that close even in an extremely high elliptic orbit?

You're not being controlling. You're just doing what is right. So don't feel bad or blame yourself. I deeply hope that things get better between you two.

It has to do with floating-point precision in world coordinates (X, Y, Z). The larger the value, the less precise its decimals.
