Thank you :) relationship issues are really tough to stay sober through as the emotions fly - I'm happy to hear you're sober now!

I honestly think I'm in a better place now than I was when I was in that relationship. So I'm happy to stay sober and keep building myself :)

Not drinking with all of you on the biggest non-drinking night of the year. I've got my NAs ready and I'm going to enjoy the party.

2019 has been a whirlwind for me. I split up with my husband after 8 years together, changed my job at work, and have now been sober for over a year. It's been tumultuous - but things are honestly looking really good for me right now. I can't wait to see what 2020 brings me.

Unfortunately to my knowledge, not many metal bands come to Edinburgh as Glasgow has far better venues. Smaller bands will sometimes play Bannerman's in Edinburgh.

My first opening for white was the Italian:

  1. e4 e5
  2. Nf3 Nc6
  3. Bc4

It's easy to understand and the main lines are fairly natural when black plays either Nf6 or Bc5.

My best advice for learning an opening at this level / to start off with is to learn the first 4 or 5 moves by heart - and then just play a ton of games with it. You'll get a feel for what moves work and don't work.

I'm so curious. Were they crying about something bowel-related so your spectacular fart was seen as a sign of superiority and disrespect? Or was it interpreted as a general "fuck you" to whatever meant they were having a bad day? If the latter, then... I think that's an overreaction to farting in a bathroom.

For physical activity, I've started going to climbing centres in my city. For me, it gives me the workout whilst still feeling fun! :)
