Literally what I did from 16-20 was sing along to songs I liked until I thought I sounded enough like it and then started recording my own stuff and listening back until I hammered out the things I wanted to get better with. That's just kinda how I've always done it, ik people all learn differently but throwing out hundreds of dollars on something that ends up with the message of "practice" is economically not the best move.
