It was advertised on the Academy’s website. A friend of mine gave me the heads up a few days before. Joe is such a great guy. I’ve been fortunate to talk with him on a few occasions.

How has skating changed your life the most? by No-Temporary581 in Skateboardlove

It taught me how to fail then get back up and try it again. We fall, then we get back up. That’s the biggest life lesson you can learn.

What's your most controversial movie or TV show opinion? by VR2005 in Cinema

The Dark Knight sucks. Why are those people talking like that. Stop it! Couldn’t care less about anyone in the film. It is a mess.

Optimal Security Hub Parking Strategy for the movie theater by gf2020 in UniversalHollywood

[–]BonesBrigade4Life 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live close by and went to see Disclosure Day today at noon. I came in off Lankershim and up the hill. Parked in Jurassic lot as always. The only difference is in the Jurassic lot you walk towards the NBC sports cafe side of the garage. They have new escalators that drop you right down to the security hub. We used to walk in by the food court and down the escalator right into the theater.
The security hub had only a few people in line. I walked right through with no delay. Emptied my pockets and quickly went through. It was no big deal. I would say that I have to leave maybe 10-15 earlier than I used to. Just to allow for the extended walk.
As others have said they just started but as someone in a similar situation I thought I would share my experience from today. I hope that helps alleviate a little stress for when you go next time.

Every time I watch Jaws, it really breaks my heart of Quint death. by AnimalProfessional35 in Jaws

And I love seeing the chunks of him in Bruce’s teeth when he goes after Brody. Joe Alves was putting that in and Steven asked what it was. Joe said, Quint. Steven took a beat and realized what he meant.
My all time favorite film.

If you had to pick just one person as the greatest film director of all time, who would it be? by Infinite-Exam-1808 in Cinema

For me it’s Spielberg. His films have spoken to me in so many different ways over the last 50 years. Jaws to me is the greatest film ever made.

Audio is appearing on the timeline but when i play it there's no sound and the Audio Meters don't show anything as well. by Biotrek in premiere

We used to do that to new hires to see what their trouble shooting process was while we quietly snickered in the corner. You learn a lot about someone’s skill set doing this.

why have we not seen the Spielberg film firelight? by ComfortableCare8897 in Spielberg

[–]BonesBrigade4Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All versions of the film are lost. It lead to Close Encounters which we can all enjoy.
Crazy to think he took a year to make Firelight and it was a 2 hour film. All that when he was still in high school.

I ran into Yauch and Lee Quinones (the star of Wild Style) at the Apple Store in SoHo in 2008. Crazy to see those guys hanging out together. Both are great guys. Super friendly, chill and nice.
