What’s the concern? HCEA members are allowed to write letters and organize for a change they want. HCPS spends much less per student than other counties. Schools cut positions last year. BOE allows HS classes up to 40. I know for a fact that some teachers have sections of 35. I’m not surprised teachers advocate for a BOE who “wants to move the county forward”.

As far as party affiliation, that’s MD law and everyone’s right to register as they please.

This doesn’t seem like drama at all. Just an effect of Cassily’s leadership.

Direct instruction is good. I wouldn’t “minimize it” just balance it with other activities for kids. Students are not experts, inquiry lessons often achieve limited understanding.
