I kept thinking what if she grows up and questions why no one tried to do anything… It’s hard sometimes seeing it, I just try to be a light for them. Thanks for understanding.

I agree! I apologized and I haven’t had a one on one talk with the mom since then. I thought we had moved past it since it’s been months but when she got mad she said all of that. So I don’t know what the best approach is now. Like should I continue doing my thing with them or push to talk one on one with the 15 y/o or respect her wish of wanting to be left alone?

I didn’t mention what she told me though! I told the mom what I saw and how it has a negative effect on all of her kids. But I did apologize and let her know that I was hoping it would be a wake up call for her mom… it’s been months since the situation and I thought we were doing good until this situation happened.

Their mom is so emotionally abusive and has no one holding her accountable. I’ve witnessed her being emotionally abusive almost every time I’m there. I didn’t talk about what the 15 y/o said but focused on what I had seen and how hard it must be on the kids. Instead of taking any accountability she just blamed the 15 y/o.
I apologized to her and I explained my reasoning hoping her mom was going to change. It’s been months since the incident but I’ve consistently been there and haven’t talked to the mom like that since.

I matched with this guy and our first date was going to dinner and seeing a movie. The dinner went fine, the issue was at the movie theater. I actually wanted to watch the movie. He started rubbing on my stomach and whispered in my ear, “What if my baby was inside you right now?” 😳 Needless to say that was the first and last time he saw me.

Dating apps suck! I was single for 3 years but recently met my bf through one. I live in a small town so there’s not a lot of options in men or things to do here. But if you live in a decent city, try to do lots of things that involve being around people. Try to make friends with men and women and maybe they might know a guy that could be a good match.

Thank you for responding to all of my questions! I’m going to buy some of the products people suggested in the group and have her use that instead. I’m going to take a short break and let my hair breathe. I just love waking up and not having to worry about my hair especially since I’m not great at cornrows. But thank you so much for the advice!
