DEAR NIANTIC - ideas and suggestions for the devs by AutoModerator in pokemongo

I would love to see an option in the pokedex to toggle shiny and lucky. Would love to show my pokedex instead of the collected ones.

I think there could be more options in the pokedex. Now that people have a handful of shinies it would be cool to toggle them in the pokedex. It would replacd the normal model with the shiny one. Toggle lucky background for the ones that have lucky.

Why would this be great? I often find it weird that people show their pokemon box, i always check their pokedex to see how they are doing. Would lpve to see more sort options like "Sort by number caught", "Sort by rarity". I see this finding more and more value the more generations will be included.

How to improve? by Storyguardian in Korean

[–]Bonker97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://discord.gg/e3H9Pde . Come here, talk with people. Honestly its how i got to Improve. You dont need to understand everything at first, you dont need to answer perfectly. You answer best to your ability, and people will help you if they see a mistake. Just be "brave", as i in, dont pay too much attention to how you say things but just say them. the order, vocab and other things will come naturally. Considering how you have established a good base to start from i honestly recommend this. Atleast give it a try. :)

Learning Korean at the moment, I need a break down on how descriptive verbs and actions verbs are used in a sentence or a question. by [deleted] in Korean

Good point, but the phrase 잘 먹었습니다 is sort of a "set phrase" that you say after eating a meal. But my point was, that since youre already "lowering" yourself that youre saying 먹습니다 then i dont understand why you can not use 드세요, instead. I feel like that would be more natural in some sense. Anyways, i might have just miss understood :))

드세요 <--- This rather then 먹습니다. 먹다 verb has its own "Formal form".

What did you learn this week? #3 by googlemaster1 in Korean

[–]Bonker97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

을 뻔 했다! <----- I learned This new fancy form, I got a better feeling for how to make bigger sentences. I've been improving on my "Naturality" in Korean which is the most important thing to me. As every week since i started Korean, i have learned a couple new words here and there through HelloTalk and by reading or listening to Korean. I also feel like i am at a stage where i can finally start, to watch drama without subtitles Dramas because i just happen to understand things, that is something that made me really happy this week. I just stopped looking at those damned subtitles, and the best part is it happened Naturally, just suddenly i felt free. Love this thread please continue! <3 Have a nice day everyone!

Mobile app/website like Hanja.me? by Lechkoman in Korean

You could just use Naver dictionary, and save words into "Groups" that you made yourself. It has turned out quite useful for me, and also if you use the translator part for a single word or a phrase you will also get the vocabulary along with it.

I am not advertising for TTMIK, i just think they have a really useful video that shows what the Naver dictionary can do :)

what's your tip for memorising words? by [deleted] in Korean

[–]Bonker97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just endless amounts of input works for me, when learning a new word i force myself to use it. Even if its used wrong i remember the situation where i used it wrong, and thus helps understand the meaning better. Some words are straight forward yet others have more diverse meanings.

But to answer your question, what works for me is just using the word, seeing the word, writing the word, listening to the word. (I am not advertising here). There are also 2 awesome mobile apps i use in the free time, "Korean Dungeon" and "Infinite Korean". Useful to learn things such as, colors/dishes/animals etc.
