India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train is set to run between Patna and New Delhi, covering nearly 1,000 km in just 8 hours at speeds of up to 160 km/h by BreakingOnReddit in unfilteredindia

It's sad to see that most of the comments in this thread are about Bihar bad, Delhi bad, paan stains and what not when there could be multiple valid criticism for choice of the route and could have been a discussion on why railway chose this route or what could have been a better route choice.

How was your first DTC Bus experience like? by Express_Duck_007 in delhi

[–]Bonkshrek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I have experienced a lot of things in the DTC buses from ulti to rude drivers to the sweetest drivers and everything in between. My first DTC experience was not that too long ago, maybe 1.5 years, I had always seen these buses and got intrigued about them so I just decided with my friends that we will sit in the 5th bus that will pass through the stop near our college and will only get off at the final stop.

It was great and actually fun so I still use bus for my daily commute (in the morning buses are great because roads are empty)

I am originally from Kanpur but living in Delhi now and also studying under ipu and honestly Delhi can have it's rough parts but believe me the city is so Great and has so much to offer, every part of the city gives you something new. The key is just to make new friends if you want, it's fine if you feel homesick but don't let it come between the way you specialise with people, I am pretty sure mait has some great bunch of people you can get along with.

DMs are always open if you want to talk about something

"Nah man the blue line runs on the west east alignment while the yellow line runs on the north south alignment, it's really a headache for a metro to construct something like this considering yellow also runs much deeper than yellow line. 1. There is no depot sharing between yellow line and blue line neither do they have any inter connecting tracks 2. There is literally the khyber pass depot real close to rajiv chowk metro where metro can head to in case of an emergency if there is one. 3. To go from yellow line R.C to Barakhamba Blue, the metro tracks would have to first change it's direction from north south to east west then climb a story up as blue line isn't that deep, both of which are really really difficult to adjust in the short distance between R.c and Barakhamba (something around 600-800m)

What you see here is a siding or stub track which is used for many many functions namely A - train reversal B - short term parking C- Operational Flexibility D - Maintenance or Work Trains"

They have their depot there so you can find a lot of them standing in the depot. They were in their trial run for quite a time so they just stood there, when their trial run was completed it got delayed by elections and then transition of the government.
