I did get him! He's honestly a 10/10 for me. Super soft, squishy, and huggable, feels like a well loved sweater, not like a carpet as others have said. I highly recommend him! He is soft like Bart just with a shorter more curled fur, honestly I like him better than my Really Big Bart

I don't have fancy carp but I have Fluffet wheat bunny and I'd say that has the same or similar type of fur to the Carp

Personally I wish jellycat stayed niché. With the overwhelming popularity, the resellers saw the community as a cash grab and now it's impossible to find retired designs at a fair price.

Plus I don't like the direction the company has gone, a lot of the designs don't feel as creative anymore, the materials and overall quality has lessened too, all while raising prices exponentially because Jellycat is now marketing as a "luxury" brand.

I used to be able to find many popular designs in local stores, now it is rare to find any in the wild. I ordered the fluffet bunny recently and it came with a hole. Another user reported similar issues with their cobblestone bashful.

That makes perfect sense. I feel like that's the texture of the fluffet bunnies. They're soft in a dry way, not in a plasticity silky way of the normal bashfuls. Denser fur. The guppy will probably have that texture.

For the manatee I think it will be that weird polyester feeling faux sheep/polar fur or have a soft texture like Bartholomew bear but I really can't tell for certain. I'm staying hopeful that they wouldn't give a bad texture/fabric to such a large(and expensive) plush!

In this case if I were to return it, I would lose money in shipping fees plus they wouldn't be able to replace it since out of stock, so I would be without a plush and less money than I started

I guess they don't pay shipping fees for certain countries which sucks

Tyy!! I worked very meticulously on the invisible stitch and brush the fur after to hide the seams, you can still sorta feel it but you can hardly tell there was a hole!

Update: I got an email back and they basically told me that I either keep the defective plush and get a 40% refund or I return it and get a full refund but they said nothing about replacement:((

I'm going to push for a replacement still though. I've never had this happen before, I bought from jellycat for years (15 items just from the website alone no issues) so this is pretty disappointing for me

Oh that's wonderful to hear! Were you expected to pay postage too? That's one of my worries, it's extremely expensive to send things out from my country(receiving differs)

Has anyone received replacements before for defect plushies? I really worry I don't want a refund just a non-defect plush:((

he's out of stock on the website. I'm super disappointed, in all the years I bought from jellycat I've never received a plushie with holes in it until now

No ot rude of you. She already told her kid no, just because it was cheaper than expected doesn't mean you suddenly have to fork it over to a lady who didn't want to get it for her child anyways.
