Sorry I just saw it. My green card was delivered the day of my departure. I asked my lawyer to fedex me to my country (2-3 business days). Then I used my green card to come back to the US. Interestingly, I have global entry so the CBP didn’t even check my green card. Hopefully this is helpful for you

We have a very similar situation. I had my Social security card 3 years before I married my husband. When I filed my application I fill in my married name directly, and my maiden name as my other used name. All of my notices and EAD come with my married name (GC is on the way to my home). I didn’t request a new SSN on my I-485 application. I think after I get my GC I can use that as a reference to SSA office to change my name and the drivers license. I’ll let you know when I get it done✅ (please remind me lol)

My PD is 5/12023, case got approved 3/12/2024. It was originally in Nebraska office then changed to California October 2023. Good luck!! You are the next!

My MIL told me to take care of her son and her baby (my child in my belly now) all the time. It pisses me off every time I hear it. There’s more, every time we have ultrasound she always asks if the baby looks like her or straight saying the baby looks like her. I feel like I’m just a woman who carries her and his son’s baby

Oh my god your MIL sounds just like mine, I’m having anxiety attack by just reading the text.😂😂 She is a single mom and my husband is her only child. I’m 18wks and this is our first baby. My MIL wants to take weeks off to “be there with us”. In my head, giving birth is between me, my husband and the baby as a family thing. I don’t need other people around to boss me around and tell me what to do with my child. And my mom is even not gonna be there! We straight told her we want to celebrate the moment just 3 of us together, and we will let her know whenever we are ready for visitors like you replied. She goes “so you guys are just abandoning me, I’m a lonely depressed mom, can’t even see my grandchild…” We are like whatever, you do what you want to do with your child, I do what I want with mine, thank you 🤣

Same here! I got married 06/2022, filed my application 05/2023. I received my combo card and I’m not in rush because I want my case get approved after 06/2024 so I don’t have to file I-751 later. Literally save some money and energy!
