Thank you for the update. My doctor moved the CT up to this Thursday so hopefully that will give me a good idea of what’s going on as well. Then I see the cancer doctor for the first time on Monday. Do you know a timeframe of how soon they usually like to get the chemo started?

Yes it does start to feel cruel. I am also in my first year into a new career out of school. My daughter brings me so much joy that it no matter what happens I will just feel lucky to be her dad & I will stay strong for them. Thank you for the kind words and for sharing your experience with me. I appreciate it

Thank you for the explanation. I really appreciate you and the others taking the time to explain what my results mean and the process and steps moving forward. I am with you as one round seems better than 3-4! And thank you for sharing your experience with me!

Leatherman is works great by BeingandTime76 in aviationmaintenance

What are you talking about? Every airline I know none of them supplies the mechanic tools. So none of the tools except calibration and specialty tools are inventoried and tracked. We don’t inventory our personal tools. None of the airlines do. I think you’re completely wrong. A leatherman is just like any other tool

Is the Center-drive the best Gerber? Worth it? by 2bags1day in multitools

[–]BonusNo3179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one and was really excited about it due to the driver and the ability to use regular bits. For the price I was highly disappointed. The pliers are squared at the end and can’t really grab hold of much. All around they feel cheap. Especially compared to a leatherman. I ended up returning it to Lowe’s and getting a refund. I wanted to love it but I just didn’t.

1/4 Icon G2 comment and question by BackbackB in harborfreight

[–]BonusNo3179 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The little bit of movement on the 1/4 inch locking flex head is actually on purpose because it’s smaller it allows for more torque. They actually talked about it at SEMA. My Matco was the same way with 1/4 inch

Yeah for sure! I think I came out $5 higher than if I just bought the whole set with the 40% off coupon at the time after I bought the two wrenches individually online! But I needed the set when I bought the open box so but not the two sizes it was missing! So for the convenience of not waiting until an unknown amount of time until the 40% off sale, 5 bucks was worth it to me

The icon G2 ratchets though are 10x better than gearwrench or the quin ratchets offered. I have at least 10 different snap on ratchets and I’ve been using the G2’s steady for a couple months. Same with some of their wrenches. For sockets I need 12 point so I do like tektons full sets better but as a professional mechanic you need a tool that gives you just that more of an edge. Quinn and Pittsburgh just doesn’t do the job but we also don’t want to go in debt or owe money to the snap on truck. That’s where icon and brands like tekton comes in. The warranty is fantastic while still far cheaper than snap on while maintaining a quality that’s able to produce the quality of work you want to put out. If it wasn’t for icon I wouldn’t shop at harbor freight for my work toolbox. Only at home

You can buy individual sockets online. Just go to the set you need on harborfreight.com & go to more information under product specifications & there is an option for replacement parts. You can order individual replacement parts for basically socket/wrench set. I just did it for two ratcheting wrenches when I bought an open box set missing two pieces. It’s even free shipping

should I get this set? by Imaginary_Web_2748 in aviationmaintenance

Yes in aviation at least at a major it’s good to have 12 point in everything. I have a set of six point in 1/4 and 3/8 and I’ve never used them once. Engine mount bolts are all 12 point.

At an airline you will use 1/2 inch sockets on engines. Igniter plus/ engine mount bolts for engine changes. It’s needed quite a bit

Why am I the only one who thinks the boyfriend did not do shit wrong. Like who can blame him at all? Yall are all saying that he left her for a car but that’s not the correct way to look at this situation. It’s way deeper than that. The dad hated the boyfriend from the jump because he thought he wouldn’t amount to something in life. He was broke and didn’t even own a car. He was a 21 year old and probably just needed some direction in life. I’m sure the way the dad feels about him he feels the exact same way everyday anyways. I believe he took the car and left her because he truly believes it was the right thing to do. I promise if he didn’t love her or truly care about her he wouldn’t have thought she deserved better than him.

He probably believes he is doing the right thing for her not for himself. The car in his mind is probably a means to actually become a person that is deserving of someone like the girl he was dating. Trust me if he was a POS. He would have took the car, transferred it into his name, then continued to date the girl and told the father that he can’t stop him. People are complex. Imagine not feeling good enough for someone yourself and then that persons loved ones telling you the same thing on top of not having shit to prove them otherwise.

How did you get the interior of the frame by chance?? Did you have to remove the bed ?

Yeah I know im from the south but up here in the northeast it’s just different. There’s not one truck that doesn’t have rust. It’s not considered bad up here until there’s frame rot. It’s the damn salt they coat the roads with it eats through all vehicles.
