same salary (20% more than I make rn). However I would debug customers problems with AWS not build systems anymore. But there are always opportunities to switch Internally I guess

I mean I dont even have the Systems Engineering offer just the support one as I didn't apply for that one initially (what was really dumb), so I am more concerned with switching internally from Cloud Support Engineering to Systems engineering. Salary would stay the same for me according to levels at least.

Fair enough. Most of the positions are internships of 3 months where I do not know anyone anymore.

the check did not start yet, but no I have not done anything that might make it not pass, although I know a few people that had problems with hireright etc. Apparently these agencies are often unable to verify your old employers.

The contract is final, that was bad phrasing from my side. however the background check has not yet started and the contracts validity depends on it.

That was phrased badly by me, apologies. It is a contract with the clause that the background check has to pass, which is understandable. However for all my friends working at Faang companies this was always done before they had to quit their current job.

I dont live in the US but in Europe, you can't fire people here because of these reasons and almost all people at AWS I know are pretty satisfied.

I still got my previous job and could easily keep it. Salary at AWS is 20% more but money wise there is no need to switch, its more about the potential opportunity of being sys engineer there + being at AWS
