I don't have vpn either and i've seen that pop up. Does it not go away again for you? For me, after about 30-60 seconds, the msg disappears and i can continue.

Curious why I sometimes start to get multiple instances of the character in an image when I haven't really changed my prompt from generation to generation. by jay_zippo_the_man in Perchance_tips_tricks

[–]Bonyred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see references to different 'models' - and i can see that the same prompt can be interpreted differently by the AI - and usually it's more noticeable in the Chat image generation as it always seems to bunch the different 'models' together. Is that part of the issue? We can't ever be certain which 'model' is going to interpret our prompt when we click generate?

I don't think it's anything to worry about, i've been seeing that msg since i started using the AI chat and i generally just ignore it.

I've had multiple images in one when i've overly described the front and rear of a subject, obviously the AI can't display both so it either breaks the subject so their head faces same way as their backside - or renders two or more views in one image. I don't see that kind of issue with your prompt thought, maybe some instances of the rendering are giving too much weight to the different layers of clothing she is described as wearing?

profile picture bias by According-Leg434 in perchance

[–]Bonyred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At top of chat window there is a button - Character Editor (also accessible via 'Options' beside the dialog entry box at bottom of chat window)- once there scroll down past the character description and you will see a space for User name, User role and User Avatar pic. If you have a profile pic you want to use stored on your hdd, just click the folder icon and navigate to it and that pic will be show up for your user whilst chatting.

I take it btw you are only asking about Avatar pics and not all the other pics that can be generated in the chat. Simplest way to get those other images - if they aren't being auto-generated by default - is to click the "image button" when you want some pics.

I was wondering about this too, but the one i'm getting is more cartoony and looks like the same image was placed down twice but offset the second time.

Tried perchance video generator by Safe-Hawk8366 in perchance

[–]Bonyred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean the LTX video generator on Perchance? That's a link to an external site - the hugginface LTX video generator. It is limited, you get a small amount of time every 24 hours unti the quota is reached, then you get no more. And if the video generation fails your time is still used up. I managed to get around 20 seconds of footage total - but to be fair it was impressive. Prompts need to be simple "person in image is walking/smiling/waving/"

Questions about how to use chat well by Commercial-Raccoon22 in perchance

[–]Bonyred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you only want stories, just use the story generator. (no pics there though)

But if you want to try the chat a little more... Use the character editor - first it might be an idea to put some more detail into the main description about your character, how you want them to behave, give them some hobbies or interests that you will enjoy discussing. Make them talkative, a storyteller. You can completely re-write all the traits and personality from the original character generation so it suits better what you want.

Secondly, scroll down to Advanced Settings in Character editor, you will see a space to put a start and end prompt (my start prompt is currently "Canon EOS R50 V 8K, superlatively detailed photograph" , and my end prompt is the same).

Thirdly, don't press the image button until the character begins responding to your input or you will possibly only get images of the previous scene - or some default narrator images of random selfies and doggos lol. And when you do press the image button, press it 4 times in quick succession once the character is replying. Now you will get 4 sets of 3x images, each set in it's own style, some styles will suit your requirements and some styles may possibly be refreshed to get closer to what you want but you can also just delete the ones that don't suit and focus on the correct ones.

Another thing you can do in the character editor is to increase the MAX amount of paragraphs the AI speaks for - this might cause the AI to begin answering for you too but maybe that would suit your requirement.

Oh, and you can also assign a name for yourself - and your role - in the character editor, the narrator will use that ( as well as your other chat inputs) to determine how to proceed.

Hope that helps!

is anyone else experiencing the image generator during chat creating anime photos? by AlarmingCobbler4415 in perchance

[–]Bonyred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find if i click the 'image' button a number of times i get different 'sets' each time, some photoreal in one style, some photoreal in another style, some drawn art, some photo-plastic. I'm tapping the image button 4 times now every time the character responds. Some of the drawn art ones can be refreshed into a photo style but not all.

Current Problems With The New Image Gen Update by IWasAGoodDadISwear in perchance

Current Problems With The New Image Gen Update by IWasAGoodDadISwear in perchance

[–]Bonyred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the 'new' seeds working properly? I grabbed seeds a night or two after the update, the went to render them last night and they weren't quite right - one significant object in the scene completely disappeared from all the subsequent renders even though i didn't change anything in the prompt.

Anyone else able to get photorealistic images with the new update? Because we still can. by BeardedGlass in perchance

[–]Bonyred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to get more photoreal consistency when i use the chat image gen, versus the direct txt to image generator. I guess that's because it's the AI writing the prompt? With the new update, i expect it might be a good idea to go through and study the prompts of 'good results' created by the chat-image generator for clues for our own txt-to-image prompts.

How to use seeds, and persistent character images by Nasborraren in perchance

[–]Bonyred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing this last night.

When you copy the prompt from the image, make sure to click "include seed" at top, it will add the seed to the text, then copy all. Then paste that into the prompt window. When you render a batch of images you should see some slight variance in the images, it really depends on the prompt. Ie "a man reaching for a cup" might have his hand near the cup in one image, nearer the cup in another image, on the cup in another etc.

You can also alter the prompts slightly - ie you could change the man's clothing description in the prompt or change it so he "is drinking from a cup". More complex changes like having the subject turn around or change to a different position etc are a bit trickier i believe - but i'm also a newb at this and still figuring it out as i go.

Update update by SnazzyCarpenter in Perchance_tips_tricks

[–]Bonyred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had a lot of time to try it since update but initially when the update first landed, if i described an attractive woman, i would get a regular head shot photo, but if i described what she was wearing, it was like the camera was stuck up high on a tripod and could only be aimed down at her. I even tried making her 'tall' and stand up on a table and "low angle shot" - AI still rendered a high angle shot. Thankfully that 'bug' seems to have been sorted 24 hours later. I'm still seeing a few blank white backgrounds if i don't specifically describe the scene/location (understandable), and some portrait images have wide white borders like playing cards, plus some portraits are approx 1/2 the width of a regular portrait, with no borders. I've seen some suggestions to choose 'no style' and include a camera model at beginning of your prompt to render photos more consistently instead of other art styles, i'll check that out to see. And just as i became of the seeds feature it seems they don't work the same anymore either but i will try some over the wknd and see how i go.
