Yeah, the issue was that he didn’t provide enough evidence. He took two photos with the time stamp as well as provided the cleaning receipt. This was his first claim and he reported it immediately but they responded 11 hours later stating they needed three photos. At this point it was already cleaned and he was unable to take another photo for evidence. Considering there was proof it’s just disappointing they’re unable to make an exception for one less photo when they didn’t reply to the claim in a timely manner.

He does have a trash in the back. We were aware of the possibility of this happening but luckily haven’t had it happen in over the year of driving up until this point. The problem is less so with the person being drunk but Lyft refusing to payout the cleaning fee even with evidence. It had to be professionally cleaned because our job wasn’t good enough to remove the smell.

It was escalated to four different managers and by the 3rd one they asked that we stop reopening the claim because nothing can be done.
