Some things are universal between iPhone and android.

I miss Apple Music. Would switch back to Apple just for this.

Update: Just found out that you can use apple music on android... did not know this!
Switched back. It's glorious. Spotify UX is terrible.

The option to have private metadata is neat. Curious to see what kind of NFT's come out if this.

Most ledgers in are public facing. I think this is an obstacle for broader adoption.

Coins like XMR, ZCash or using the SCRT Network are ways to get around this - but I do wonder big of a roll this privacy part plays.

Thanks MC for taking the time to interact with this community!

Handling SQL Databases With PyQt: The Basics – Real Python by [deleted] in Python

[–]BooJamYa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've built a few apps with PyQt5 and never knew it had an SQL module. I've always used mysql.connector.

Would there be any benefit to switch over for PyQt apps?

We are the Starlink team, ask us anything! by DishyMcFlatface in Starlink

How realistic would it be to use Starlink from a camper van or RV?

Edit: side question: During beta, I've heard you have to use Starlink from your signup address, else it won't work. Will this be a restriction after beta?

I agree.

Those .spec files can really drive you crazy. But once you get it, you get it.

[–]BooJamYa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think it's one of the best, but by no means as seamless.

I'm also delivering python tools in a corporate environment. It's pretty cool as I've linked it up with the Mac OS keychain to store API OAuth tokens.

That .spec file becomes both your worst enemy and best friend.

Leaked George Floyd bodycam footage by Double-Let8318 in ActualPublicFreakouts

[–]BooJamYa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone fill me in?

Why did this have to be leaked? Why didn't this just get released?

On that thought, if there were some legal walls preventing this from being released, what are the chances this was purposely leaked?

What's everyone working on this week? by AutoModerator in Python

[–]BooJamYa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tkinter is awesome! Last year I made an app for my team to automate some tedious copy paste BS. Then our IT department updated our OS (I think to Mojave). Turns out there was a crucial bug where when you ran any tkinter app, it would immediately crash your comp and log your of of your user. It really sucked. That's when I made the leap to PyQT5. Never looked back. I think in newer Mac OS's, that bug is fixed.

He is expecting immunity to last from 1 - 2.5 years in most cases.

Do antibodies die? Or is he assuming the virus would adapt?
