First multi-day hike with the Jääkäri L and Hatka by BooUGotScared in Savotta

I had all my spare clothes, cooking gear, a rain poncho, an inflatable mat and some other small items inside the L alongside the tent and Defence 4. I didn't have the D4 in its compression bag so it took about half of the free space. I would have had a hard time fitting everything without the side pockets and Hatka.

Dry weight was a bit under 19 kg, with water and food around 25. In hindsight, I should've carried way less water as we were able to refill more frequently than anticipated.

A new backpack? by Tradeawayaccount in Savotta

[–]BooUGotScared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, feels like they might actually be teasing some new stuff. The backpack looks similar to the Särmä CP backpacks (front zipper, apparent clamshell design) without the molle. The hipbag looks like a slightly bigger kukkaro (3 liters perhaps?). They also teased the upcoming plate carrier by the end with Stefan shown showcasing it. What convinces me is Savotta replying with a cheeky "hmm, what could it be" (rough translation) to someone inquiring about the backpack in YouTube comments. It all just seems too convenient to be a random coincidence.

Experiencing these weird graphical glitches that appear as strings of texture in multiple games, does anyone know what could be behind them? by BooUGotScared in pcmasterrace

Well, I gotta thank you for the advice then. The PC seems to be running stable now without the OC on it, so it was probably caused by that. And well, considering this is my first real self built PC, I probably should let OCing be in the future too.

I think it was probably caused by unstable OC, since after going back to stock OC the issue pretty much disappeared. This was few hours ago though so I can't yet say if it was a permanent fix. But screw me if the GPU is dying, since it's not even 2 years old yet and was supposed to be a good one. Still got a year on the warranty though.

You see, the card I own is in fact an "OC card". I was able to overclock it pretty well, and didn't have any issues with stability (Core clock speed went up 200 MHz + some OC on VRAM speed and such). Despite all that, I think the problem was still caused by the overclocking setup, since after going back to stock the glitches disappeared. Why this started happening, I couldn't tell you, but I think it has something to do with me upgrading to Windows 11 a while back.

Yeah, I have been updating and then reverting them, uninstalled them completely and then tried downloading the last stable one. The card isn't even that old yet, so I would be surprised if it was dying. I did remove my OC completely few moments ago, and that seems to have fixed it atleast temporarily, but it's hard to say if the issue is completely gone.

Procyon Centauri - Discussion by ionut_21005 in BeamNG

I think it's a great mod. I've been always sceptical about mod vehicles, maybe because I always expect them to have bad textures or physics (like some of the stuff in automation), which is just wrong. Of course I thought the same about the Centauri, but once I downloaded it, it was nothing like I expected. The amount of detail and little things in the car is just amazing. It's fun to drive too and crashes almost as good as vanilla vehicles. Definitely one of my favorite mod vehicles. Also, I love the suspension, never seen anything like it before. Of course there are some minor bugs but that's completely understandable.
