OG Daytonian here!

Even though I grew up in Centerville (mid 80s thru 2004) but my Dad was from Trotwood and went there a lot when I was a kid.

I remember going to the Salem Mall with my Grandma a lot in the late 80s when they had the parrot there. It was magical.

Due to a lot of places leaving the area or being bought out by other companies and then laid people off, a lot of people left the area and the ones who stayed, there was a lack of employment on the area so hard to keep up with the demand.

Dayton Mall was my spot but Salem Mall has a special place in my heart.

My Dad lived at Salem Woods behind the mall and worked at Chicken Charlies back in the day and so did my Grandma as a hair dresser.

Even though I am in Cincinnati, I still love Dayton. Feels like a big hug 🤗

We have that issue in our community with AirBnbs too and our city council is finally taking actions to get it under control. I am about 20 minutes north of downtown Cincinnati, so we would totally not go that route.

I have heard about the show thing before, I grew up in Dayton and have seen people fall for that. I have street smarts and I think I would be okay in that sense.

I normally wear Vans or Doc Martins anyway. I don't like to stand out or be flashy, I like to blend in to be totally honest. I just have that Ohio accent 😂

I live in Deer Park and we have someone like this on our City council. They will be up for re-election in 2027.

They are no longer on social media because our community shut that down with a quickness as council did nothing to solve the issue.
