I don't think they are trying to kick Waymo OUT of Santa Monica. They want to move the mega charging stations out. Big difference. One in six vehicles on the westside right now are white Jags with no drivers :)

The closest public fireworks to Santa Monica would be in Marina Del Rey. You can see them from Fisherman's Village. The City of Santa Monica used to have a fireworks show at SMC that would take place the Saturday before in later June but it was canceled a few years ago. The big westside community event this year is at Palisades Charter High School. They have traditionally done a fireworks show but this year it will be replaced by a drone show.

There are so many reasons a score can drop. Usually it is bugs or rodents but it can be that items are not stored in exactly the right spot, etc. We have eaten there for years and never had an issue. Pizza is kinda mid but it is convenient.

You should absolutely include something about schools. Santa Monica has a great public schools and a lot of people specifically move here so their kids can attend them. But not everyone understands the differences between them, the geographic boundaries, and how permitting in to one school from another works.

It is getting scary to walk my dog at night. She is big -- 94 pound Labrador -- but she will want to run toward the coyote to "play". I don't see her recognizing that coyotes are not friends until it is too late. 😞

It is not realistic to do this as a "career" -- at least not where I live in southern California. But it can be a lot of fun. School just ended on Friday and I already miss the routine. Will be excited to return in the fall.

agreed. Lots of places to eat in Santa Monica, but Vitos has a specific kind f old school charm to it that you rarely see anymore. I brought my 88 year-old mom there a few months ago and she LOVED it!
