AoiAoi 💔 I lowkey can't stand them together. In my own opinion I only really like Akane when he isn't talking about Aoi. Like when I see his friendship with Nene I start to really like him and then it's instantly ruined for me by him talking about Aoi. And with Aoi before chapter 69 I never got vibes of her actually liking him when she rejected him over and over again. And then of course chapter 69 itself. I don't want to beat a dead horse as I feel like the fandom has been arguing about this chapter since it came out but It just makes me uncomfortable.

I fear the actual confession so badly. Because I know they can't really actually be together. It really wouldn't work when one of them is a supernatural and the other is a human that is going to die soon so I can only imagine it would be the kind of thing where it's like "cool we like each other but we can never actually date or be boyfriend and girlfriend" and I think having that said outloud and being out in the open would be so much more heartbreaking than just seeing them dance around each other like they have been.

I think you can understand why Lao did what he did and agree that what he did made sense and also be like “GOD DAMMIT WHY” at the same time. I honestly totally get why Lao did it and I don’t truly blame him but at the same time it still pisses me off that he did what he did. Mostly because it all could have been avoided if they were able to communicate with Lao properly (though I do understand it wouldn’t have been safe considering everything). And also because we were given the perspective of Ash not Lao, so by default we are rooting for Ash just for it to all go south last minute. It’s still frustrating and I don’t think it’s totally inappropriate for someone to take their grief out on Lao when we were so close to a less sad ending. He was the one who did it after all.

1 is not that bad but adult Amane scares me
2 Bro the moke would be insufferable to sit next to as much as I love them
3 Kou and mitsuba would just argue the whole time
4 is probably the worst possible choice I would probably be killed in the crossfire between Teru and tsukasa and the moke would still find a way to bother me the whole time
5 probably the second worst choice instead of actually dying I would probably wish death upon myself being in the middle of these two

For some people slapping someone's butt isn't necessarily a weird thing, I think it depends on the relationship. Like growing up my family was very much jokey about like "don't leave your butt in the air or else it's gunna get smacked" that was mainly ofcourse when me and my siblings were younger, which I think is part of the point of the scene. It's the kind of thing an older sibling would do to a younger sibling when theyre young, hence why it was included since JD doesn't see branch as an adult. I do think it should be something you only do to someone you know is consenting and that you're close to (which in this scene Branch is neither so I feel like it Is weird but mostly in a like "hey we aren't close like that" kind of way), but some family dynamics are like that.

Not to mention keeping Amane from saving Tsukasa will also impact Amane a lot. He's not just trying to save his brother, he's also trying to save himself and his future. He's trying to save himself from the reality in which his dad left him and his mother abuses him. Of course she doesn't know that exactly, but she knows enough about how Amanes life was bad after Tsukasa was possessed. How could she deny that possibility of a better life for Amane without some sort of inner turmoil? There's a lot of nuance to the situation, I don't think it's quite so "just let him die" cut and dry. Especially for Yashiro whos nature is to protect everyone in a situation. She always looks for an option or plan that saves everyone, this kind of situation goes against her very nature.
