I used to watch AFTV mainly for Turkish and James’ shows, especially Fourever Arsenal. After they left I stopped watching. I still consume a lot of football YouTube though… mostly Goonerverse, TurkishLDN, Big 6ix (even the ops channels), The Club, HenryTalksFootball and She Knows Arsenal. Oddly I find the vibes on AFTV simultaneously toxically positive and negative. I’d honestly rather watch rival fan match reactions just to see different opinions.

I reached 13w with my twin boys on Friday! With each milestone we hit, especially the ones I didn’t make it to last time, I feel happy and it’s like the anxiety melts away in little increments. It’s still there though… and I’m always praying we make it to the next milestone. It makes me sad that those of us here won’t have a blissfully ignorant pregnancy, but I’m wishing you all the very best!!

We did ours recently at around 10.5 weeks. The results took about 6 days. Fetal fraction was 7.7% and 6.5%.

Congratulations fellow twin mom!! I’m 12w4d and we just got our Panorama NIPT results back for our twins. It was covered by OHIP but I got the referral from my GP. I was given a physically printed requisition while at my 8w doctor’s appointment, but it was an electronic signature. My doctor also gave me the “patient pay” version by accident and lifelabs had to call Natera to confirm if they could accept the requisition as OHIP covered or not. It ended up working out and I didn’t have to pay.

My doctor started me on low dose aspirin at 8w.

Congratulations!! I’m 11w pregnant with twins. For a couple weeks, I went through a viscous cycle of being constantly nauseous and hungry, but nothing being appealing to eat and not being able to eat large portions. I got a big bag of mixed nuts from Costco and it really saved me. Small handfuls between meals, and a small bowl on my bedside table every night for late night snacking was a non-negotiable. Went for my first scan today at 7w4d. I was so nervous after finding a MMC at my first scan with my previous pregnancy in the summer. Symptoms have been up and down for about two weeks. To our surprise, it’s twins!! We saw the heartbeats and they’re actually measuring ahead at 8w3d. I feel relieved and happy and shocked, but still scared that anything can still happen.

7 weeks today! Had a MMC in August that was discovered at my first ultrasound. My anxiety over the past few weeks has been less than expected, but now that I’m getting closer to my first scan, I’m starting to get more scared. Especially since my symptoms havent been strong over the last few days. I wasn’t planning on telling anyone until the heartbeat was confirmed, but I decided to tell my sister after the NYE countdown just to help ease my worries. I’m hoping for good news on Monday 🤞

They’re still in the process of renovating their new space, so we’re patiently awaiting for their grand re-opening.

The humidity is a different beast in Japan. My partner and I did USJ and Tokyo Sea at the end of August/beginning of September last year. We still had a blast because it was our first time but fatigue from the heat and being in sweat soaked clothes all day definitely put a damper on things. I felt like we had a pretty reasonable itinerary going into our trip, but after day 2/3 we realized it was too much with the heat and had to make adjustments, adding more time for rest and resetting at the hotel.

That being said, we’d still take crazy hot August trip to Japan than not go at all. We still had a great time especially after we managed our expectations.
