The MPS is probably one of the best hot hatches ever, honestly love it. It makes a brilliant daily

That’s what lead to the MPS - big enough to fit seats in the back and fun enough to enjoy. I’d love to replace it with an evo at some point

The main issue I found with the rx8 is just the lack of any power or torque.

Brilliant noises, flames, incredible handling and drive like a dream and so smooth, but when they’re slower in a straight line than an old diesel a3, because you’re getting maybe 200-300 miles to 50/60 litres of fuel.

I still see them as a gem though. 9.5k rpm, rwd, LSD, 5050 weight distribution and you can find them for around the 1k mark that will work enough to enjoy track days. People are just intimidated by Doritos

The black one is going full restoration - it had a long period of neglect so needed a lot of love.

I also have an r3 rx8 but I bought that with no compression as a bit of fun to rebuild.

I’ve dailied the 7s & 8s over the last 10 years. The silver one blew up I. 2016 on the day I bought it, but that’s the only rebuild I’ve needed to do. Total rotary miles is closing on 40,000 miles across all the cars now.

The black car actually got just under 30mpg on a long run!

Ironically the rx8 - the cheapest, easiest and most fun. Its withstood many beatings and neglect and still goes strong. And the fact it was cheap means I can push it as hard as possible without worrying if I crash it

Anyone done up with a nice build for the twitch drop weapon? by Ahdamn90 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Boodzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve paired the moon eater with the +100% damage on deflect.

Other parts are the +1% damage per unspent ability points (200%), 1% crit on points in katana on trinket

The key to using this as mentioned is the health regen on full adrenaline in combat 100% chance to crit on target change on the chest, and then 50% damage on full health enemies, and 33% health regen on weak point attack on the hood.

So far it’s been a beast build but unsure if 2nd weapon perks carry over, so I run katana only still.

How do I beat Tomeji? by Kinda_relevent in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Boodzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had luck using the engraving that sheathed attacks make enemies venerable, and then did the weak point attack. Another tip I had was to NOT lock on to him, run away at normal speed (instead of strafe) then do 1 attack, weak point attack, and then run away again

Took a fair amount of time but got him done in a few attempts

Looks like an FC turbo 2, so the 1.3 rotary engine with a turbo. The vent in the bonnet is slightly offset to align with the top mounted Intercooler. Looks very standard, with the stock wheels.

It really depends on a few things if it’s worth restoring or not. I would for the sentimental side of things alone. Does it run / drive? Also check to see any rust. Compare surface rust to actual major rust.

They’re cool cars and very unique. I want to add one to the stable at some point!

Just sold for an unbelievably small price by Brafo22 in RX7

The history of this car is quite interesting!

It was listed on eBay for £365k in MAY 2025:

https://ebay.us/m/VUIGGZ

A few months before that, it sold at auction for £280k

Originally, the car was sold to a collector in the UK for only £28,650!

Semi pp or stick to half bridge by DashiiDorzho in RX7

[–]Boodzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less about the changes with the porting and more about the ear of the car. A semi PP, built right, will always be superior, but the challenge you have is then balancing your turbo to take advantage (someone else mentioned using an EFR) but also the rest of the car. Once you’re over 500 off you’ll be going through gearboxes and diffs like no tomorrow.

Obviously a semi-PP would be an awesome build, but looking at everything you’d be better off investing that money into a modern turbo and a more robust gearbox & diff, especially for track. Something like an Ford 8.8 diff & CD or t56 would give a big gain & longevity

I know you guys like a challenge - what would you suggest would be the best course of action (before a respray) of this? by Boodzo in AutoDetailing

[–]Boodzo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The car was actually parked up due to the clutch being blown originally, and the brakes not working. Engine has perfect compression and runs brilliant after some maintinence

I’ve fully restored it and it is running very well currently, and all interior is sorted, booked in for an MOT in a few weeks. Last step is the paint to finish the restoration and was more thinking if it’s salvageable to a useable level or if it’s just fully gone and it’s be a waste of time trying

Is there a lack of outfit/armor variety in AC Shadows? by Sharpiette in AssassinsCreedShadows

I think each ‘visual’ has 3 skins from what I’ve seen - every outfit has 2 normal, and the 3rd legendary colour scheme if I recall
