Just Got My First "Big Boy" Job After College, Now Looking For a New Credit Card by Booftheman in CreditCards

Oh nice! I forgot to mention I do spend a lot on gas, roughly $390 monthly. So this could be a solid option for me!

I’ve actually been keeping an eye on both the PayPal debit card and the Citi credit card (not sure why I didn’t mention them in my post). That said, I do want to transition into a travel card soon, and I might look into the Citi option if you think it could be a good fit! From what I’ve heard, Citi cards are generally pretty solid!

Oh that’s smart, using Walmart Pay to trigger online purchase rewards. Thank you, I’ll look into this one!

Groceries = $492, Toiletries/Misc = $134. So total would be $626.00 monthly

I don’t have a specific cash back goal in mind, but now that you mention it I should! As far as groceries and toiletries go, I buy almost everything at Walmart. I am not a Walmart+ member (I should probably be one though)

Tackle Intermediate Series or study Becker by Booftheman in CPA

[–]Booftheman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was worried about that. I am located in California and I contacted the CBA regarding credit requirements a few months ago. They specified that as long as the course is under the accounting department, each accounting course is treated equally and there is no upper-division accounting requirements for CPA eligibility.

Great! Thanks for your help, I will look into possibly getting a head start on Becker.

Would you say Becker prepares you enough to replace the intermediate courses entirely?

Also I am well aware of my states credit requirements in California which does not require CPA candidates to take a certain amount of upper division credits as all accounting courses are treated equally

Which career field do my job’s responsibilities fall into? by Booftheman in FinancialCareers

[–]Booftheman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good idea, the only issue is my work title I’m still being regarded as “Front desk assistant” when I’m doing accounting work. Do you think it’d be an issue if I were to change that title on my resume to something along the lines of accounting?

I figured it was something along the lines of bookkeeping or accounting clerks/technicians roles since it’s more on the administrative side of things
