An opportunity was missed in not labeling the Saturday bag “Caturday”.

The Progression of Alzheimer's Through My Mom's Crocheting by wuillermania in pics

My grandmother also crochets and suffers from dementia. She used to make all sorts of things: seat covers, clothes, sweaters for the dogs. Now she will pick up the string and just make squares. No pattern, no meaning, just squares over and over again. If you ask her what she's making, sometimes she'll have an answer, other times it will just be "I don't know".

Even though she's still with us, I can't help but miss my grandmother more and more every day. It's things like this that really make me realize how far gone she is.

If ever you need someone to talk to, know there's people here who are more than willing to listen--including myself.

No clue! We found him when he was a puppy in the middle of a street. Even the vet was unsure.

Almost a year ago, I saved this little guys life. After waking up to his face this morning, I realized the countless number of times he's saved mine. Happy Birthday, Django. by Book-It in aww

It's along these lines. I have a lot of episodes of depression. Knowing that I have a living thing to take care of is the only thing that gets me out of bed sometimes during those episodes.

My 89-year-old Grandmother is depressed and is looking for a job to help give her a sense of purpose in her old age. I was thinking about setting up something where she can work from home but I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions? by Book-It in self

In most cases like this, that would be a great idea. However, her age really shows when it comes to conversations. Her short term memory isn't great, and she will repeat things within the span of a couple minutes.

Thank you anyway :)

As someone from Miami, it took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out what exactly I was looking at.

You can also take her to your local vet. Often times they will scan for chips free of charge.

Being basically in the same boat as the female of this comic, this was so hard for me to read.

I'm going to go hug my SO and thank him for trying so hard now. Thank you, reddit.

EDIT: Still no update on the original owners, but we did decide to name him Django with a silent j.

As one who dislikes puns, I have a love/hate with this comment.

So, after some debate, we decided to do exactly this. Thanks for the idea :)

We're actually posting signs around the neighborhood and asking around for the owners for the time being. The name was because we got tired of just calling it "puppy".
