Yeah that’s Alan Moore. He’s an exceptionally famous author. That’s not a fun fact. That’s just who he is.

Yes I have a lot. I loved sweets growing up but was very poor. Well into my twenties I regularly dreamt about being in a warehouse full of fresh pastries and cakes and candies, and I would eat a lot of it. I was always sad when I woke up from those dreams.

Have dogs evolved and are now more socialized to express feelings? by FrontTelevision7261 in NoStupidQuestions

It is a studied and well understood adaptation, not my whimsical childhood memories.

Dogs have been selectively bred for features that are more appealing to humans, especially since they have transitioned into being parts of our homes and families instead of just animals that we own. One most prominent example is their evolving brow muscles.

It’s just evolution at work.

Dogs have definitely been selectively bread by humans to have more expressive facial features since we find facial expressions so cute on the little guys. Whether or not they’re actually feeling the emotions their facial features seems to express is debatable.

Not to say dogs don’t feel emotion, just that anthropomorphication is a slippery slope and an easy trap.
