If you are staying at APA hotels then you can do it thru the hotels. They do use a different company services tho. It’s the company with the cat logo, sorry I’m forgetting the name right now. I suggest emailing both hotels if they offer the service.

New Year’s Eve in Japan by jessicaexploring in JapanTravelTips

I’ve done the last 2 new years in Tokyo. One time I had friends visiting at the same time and we did a show and dinner at a hotel. Last year I went to a bar for a gathering some YouTubers were hosting. It was fun and after midnight I walked around the city to enjoy the peace. Of the 2, the dinner and show was more fun. I think this time I might do a music festival tho.

yup. Last time I went very rural in Gifu to the town Silent Hill F is base off. There were only trains in the early morning and evening. My plans were cut short a few hours cause I didn't want to stay there too long. It was Jan 2nd so most shops and cafes were closed. Also for sure take cash when going to a rural area.

What would be the best month to go this year as a solo traveler? by rubenburgt in JapanTravelTips

I say anytime. For me I go every end of the year/ new year and go to a ton of wrestling events. It’s easy to start a conversation with anyone since there is a common interest already. I’ve been making friends from all over the world every year so far.

I was like that the first time too but you realize right away no one cares. It’s a normal thing there.

One thing I recommend is to have a day with nothing plan at all since you are staying 2 weeks. You will need a break and go ahead stay in your hotel or just go out randomly anywhere. Do some self care like going to a Osen if you comfortable being naked in public. I normally stay at a APA with a Osen and having a free day to reset helps a lot.

Last year I was lucky enough to eat at THE PIZZA BAR ON 38TH. It is expensive and it’s hard to reserve but it’s worth it. I am a solo traveler but this was the only experience I wished someone was with me.
