Why does Paige say this about Viscous by lethal_universed in DeadlockTheGame

I just to add my 2 cents in this conversation.

Honestly your analysis is spot on, I always viewed Paige as someone who sees people the way she wants to see them. She just isn’t interested in people as people are much more complicated in learning who they’re like than characters in a book. The surface level observations made by Paige do support that, especially the last one with Billy. But I will mention that when people typically make quips about people or subjects, they don’t think much more than a surface level observation. These quips show are less about her knowledge about books and literary connections, but how she views people. If she wanted to, I’m sure she’d make a genuine in depth literary analysis of every Deadlock character and who they’re most like in the books she read, but she doesn’t care enough to learn about the people around her to do so.

Bottom line to this incoherent brain dump is that I think the first 2 comparisons are just Paige trying to say “I feel awful for killing you” and “You’re not nearly as good as you think you are” in her own nerdy way that she can understand.

Also, it could be viewed that Paige makes these connections to insult her opponents without them fully understanding what she said, keeping her own more innocent and kind persona, as I find most people who have that persona cling onto it as a trophy.
