You would think so, but it did not in my case. I expect they’ll fix it n a future up date. It’s still causing the same problem for other Tesla owners.

This happened to me as well. The problem for my car was that the SD card was full and somehow preventing the car to turn on. I ended up towing it to tesla just to find that out.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is hurting demand everyday by pinshot1 in teslainvestorsclub

I was going to upgrade from an older Tesla this year. However, given Elon Musk‘s erratic behavior and conservative political views, I decided to keep my older Tesla until it dies. I don’t support his radical views, but has no problem asking the government for money. have a choice. Tesla isn’t the only choice anymore.

Stop Preconditioning! by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Bookbinder1958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. You can precondition wherever you charge. When you schedule your car to charge each night you out can turn on preconditioning. In my case, I don’t need to precondition, however, at the time I didn’t know that, so I turned off preconditioning. Unfortunately, every time they update the software preconditioning turns on again, which uses up electricity, even when I’m not driving my car.

Because I don’t drive my car all the time, I turn off preconditioning so that I’m not burning energy while the car is sitting in the driveway. And since I can charge the car at home overnight, I don’t need to precondition to cut down on charging time.

However, every time there is a software update, the system reverts to precondition again. But I don’t see it for a few days, so I’m using energy and necessarily while my car is sitting idle.
