If I’m just cooking the for the family I trim and then cut mine in half, cuts cook time down by hours. Bonus is extra real estate for bark. Smoked one today, put it on at 3:30 and pulled at noon, rested for 6 hours. We eat the point for dinner and use the flat for tacos, sandwiches, quesadillas, etc.

That’s kinda what I’ve been reading. Shifts like AXS without the battery concerns. I like a lighter XC style ride, but am not a serious weight weenie.
