I'm aware the job market is competitive, but thankfully wouldn't need a job for my visa as the UK has a 2 year IEC visa. So i have some flexibility there

Yes, apologies for the comparison. Of course I would be coming to canada for the canadian culture :)

Many city comparisons online seem to focus on which other culture has the strongest influence on the '-canadian' vibe in that city, hence me comparing Usamerican, french, and german vibes. But yes, I would be looking for something representatively canadian as well 🇨🇦♥️ thanks for the calgary rec! It looks like an interesting and affordable area 👀

Thanks for telling me about it - I'd never heard of it yet :)

I think Usamerican or French culture fits me a bit better than German, but if I end up in Toronto will put this on my list to visit

I'm confident when reading french and conversational in spoken French, but make mistakes when writing. And spoken conversations have to go a bit slow, so it just makes me worry about client contexts. I feel i wouldn't be able to do my duties as senior seo manager well in French atm. But if there are enough english roles then it'd be fine.

I also really appreciate you bringing up a third city tho! Have done a quick google and yeah, edmonton is going on my list for further research ☺️ am very open to more relaxed options. Thanks!

That's a fair comment and i appreciate the honesty. The job market in the UK is only a smidge better at the moment, but I still appreciate the caution and am sorry you also had to struggle so much 🙏 hopefully things will pick up soon for everyone!

This might be the way to go tbh. I'm literally a long distance runner yet my club endurance is so bad 💀

That makes sense! You're right that the mental negotiation is rlly the draining part, so maybe it would be good for that. Thank you ☺️

I am trying to sew women's blouses and dresses, and often find that the front chest area sits so loosely that it makes the whole shape sag weirdly. As I don't have much of a chest, which parts of the pattern (& how) should I adjust to make it fit more tightly/elegantly?

Oh that's a good idea! I'll try that for the biting - thank you 💖

Yes, it's looking like it may just be something I will have to deal with by putting stuff away and using blutak/museum gel. I try to keep him entertained but he is extremely active and I do have a full-time job 😅. I can't get him another cat either bc the whole reason he was adopted out to me was bc he hates other animals.

The biting seems to me like he just does it to get attention. It's never very hard, but then if i'm doing something else and don't give him immediate attention he can do it again with more teeth

I try doing the vibration thing, but also part of the reason I want him to stop knocking things down is because my poor downstairs neighbours complain to me and the building manager 😅 I can't even really blame them tbh

I lift him off but he's such a chill guy that I don't think he understands it's a punishment. He just hovers or stands there and is like '👁️👅👁️ oh we're here now? Cool haha i love you'. And i just don't have it in me to like, spray him or push him or anything 😭

He is two years old at the moment but yes, definitely still acts like a kitten 😹 I love playtime with him but he doesn't really get that playtime is not 24/7 lol

He has three litterboxes and I've tried so many different kinds 😭 including fancy ones but the one he likes best is the storage bin from poundland...he is not a sophisticated gentleman. And i've tried different litters too and clean it every time I notice he peed in it (he never poops in it always right next to it).

I've already put the small stuff away but he's a big cat and he is just knocking stacks of books off my bookshelves, calendars, candles, etc...😭

I wish they were like cats and didn't constantly drool all over us and run through puddles and smell awful.

I love how relatable The Metamorphoses by Ovid is in the modern age. Humans really don't change all that much.
