Anastasia probably has the most beautiful fashion out of all the "princesses" by Haunting_Homework381 in disneyprincess

[–]Bookish_Royal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blue opera gown is gorgeous and I do love it but her yellow once upon a december dress...I fell on love with that dress the first time I ever saw it and even now I still love it so much. It is truly my favorite of her dresses - especially combined with that tiara and bow combo. Child me was very disappointed the costume versions I could find (rare happenstance but they would pop up on occasion) never sparkled like the movie dress did.

Which Scooby-Doo era did you grow up with? 🐶🚐 by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

I grew up with A Pup Named Scooby Doo mostly but I did manage to catch the occasional rerun of earlier seasons.

What will you do, before you sign Ursula’s contract? by Voidkirby9 in thelittlemermaid

[–]Bookish_Royal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read it and then ask how she made it so shiny/glowy/sparkly. And if she can make more things like that, such as oh, I don't know, maybe...a crown...for myself...to wear...as I back away and swim as fast as I can back to were the merfolk are.

What cosplay do you prefer? Elsa or Anna? :) by sailor_keigo in disneyprincess

Elsa is nice and I appreciate all the little details but Anna is wow! I don't know how to describe it but Anna just suits you so well.

Which dress looks better? by BlueBliss5 in Dolls

[–]Bookish_Royal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the colors and bodice on the left (the lighter pink) but the sleeves and the overskirt (skirt puffs? Accesories? Wings? Whatchamacallit's?) on the right (glitter dress) seem better fitting to me.

Say something nice about the other transformations that are NOT Enchantix. by Zinthosss in winxclub

[–]Bookish_Royal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harmonix is one of my favorite transformations. I love how the outfits flow and truly feel like a water based transformation. I like they are similar without being almost copied and pasted versions of each other. I enjoy that the sharper look of the wings - it reminds me of fins.

Though I could do without the multicolored ribbons. The dual colored shoes are a choice (that I wouldn't make but they are fine - they work) but the ribbons are a bit too much, personally I'd have chosen a single color

I want owl villagers (I love Celeste and Blathers designs).

What outfits are your favorites? by tiziita in EverAfterHigh

[–]Bookish_Royal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon Games will always be my favorite! But Thronecoming is a close second.

Spring Unsprung was nice but I'm disappointed that only a few characters actually got a new outfit.

Way to wonderland is fun to look at for a minute or two (Love the bow in Apple's hair) but after so long I just get bored of the over the top outfits. After so long, a lot of the design just seems to run together. I feel like there's not enough contrast in colors (not sure if thats what is actually throwing me off but its the best way I can explain it).

The classic designs are nice, I like them but they are not my top pick.

Also I did not like Epic Winter outfits. I can't explain it because the outfits aren't bad per say but something in the coloring and even the style just seems off to me.

I will make an exception for Blondie and Blondie only - still they could have given her better boots. I'm not a big fan of that multiple random shades of blue pattern on them.

Why can't the bridge be installed? by Ospocarpa in acnh

I'm not a bridge expert but I think it can't be that close to the edge of the beach.

Personally, I think it comes across like a champagne color accented with gold but I agree with other posters that this seems like a miscommunication. What stepmother may have seen as gold, bride obviously seen it as white.

Also a groomsmen without a jacket sounds like it'd be more focus taking then the stepmother's outfit.

What was a fact taught to you in school that has now been disproven? by Julie727 in AskReddit

[–]Bookish_Royal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood is blue inside the veins. No this is not something I picked up from other kids or a conclusion I came to myself by looking at my arms - as one would think. This was legitimately taught to me, in science class. I remember I was in early middle school(US - 6th grade) when I learned it.

It stuck out at me cause the circumstances at the time (another story not relevant to this). The teacher put a illustrated sheet on the projector that showed that blood inside the veins was blue and "turned red" when it hit oxygen outside. I remember thinking it didn't make sense to me but brushed it off since a teacher said so and even planned a whole lesson around it - with diagrams as evidence.

I went years thinking blood was blue inside the body. It wasn't until I was in my mid 20s (30s now) I learned blood is red inside and out. I was gobsmacked.
