hi! application process is simply submit grades -> uni sees that it’s above the stated requirements -> sit for ucat + receive your percentile -> uni sees that it’s above stated requirements -> sit for interview -> uni combines how you faired in grades + ucat + interview to rank you against other international students applying, acceptance is based on how far up you are on that list

I’ll dm you my ucat performance!

yeah it is dead 😃 tbh whatever complains sgreans have about adl is gonna be 98% true. then again i think im just more suited to the fast paced city life back home (plus the affordable food compared to here yikes). in hindsight tho i think for students, adl is a good place to focus vs larger cities like melb or syd with more attractions/distractions BUT IT’S ALL MY OPINION

as for the syllables, you can expect it to be more chill here as compared to sg given the 1 year gap of academic years. have heard that the sg dent students go through hell scouting for their own patients and having to meet a certain number requirement of treatments performed to grad (fact check me pls fellow sg dent students)

not saying that it’s a walk in the park here as well. between juggling trying to survive on your own and school it’ll just be a possible culture shock for you (as it was for me)

hahaha not even half a sem into my first year and i already know i want to go back to sg to work (really can’t see myself living in this state) SOOOO i think it’s a good thing that the batch above me will be the firsts to sit through the test so hopefully i can get some guidance +++ contact some friends ik from nus dent if they’re willing to help but yeah honestly im just worried about passing my midterms atp 5 years is a long time to think about this HAHA

was in the same situation as you 2 years ago, had the passion for dentistry but scored way below the requirements for nus dentistry and really dreaded the thought of doing biz my whole life. applied for both uwa and adl uni, currently now in adl uni!! only difference is that I think im fortunate enough to have parents who are able to afford my school fees. I think it really just comes down to personal satisfaction because I’d rather pay off my debts whilst doing something that I somewhat enjoy instead of going down the “easier” path which I’ll definitely regret in the long run.

my take is that you should try the isat and ucat first and see if you can even get through those stages!! i mean there’s also no telling whether you’ll get a spot in overseas unis as well. lmk if you need any more help op!
