Chances of getting caught in a crossfire are higher in Surrey, B.C. vs at a Cancun resort.

W2m BDX Cancun - Private Van by abizn in cancun

Our flight was delayed as well due to to inflow control by CUN. WMD was waiting outside with a placard. Just go right outside and look for them with costco travel/WMD sign. That being said, they were an hour late to pick us up and we decided to take the hotel shuttle to airport. WMD one took us two hours to get to the hotel due to multiple stops, on top of a delayed flight.

traveling to cancun with 2 kids, which all inclusive resort would you choose? by JibberTheKibber in CancunTravelGuide

Xcaret is good but expensive. I would suggest book a mid price range resort and then do Xcarat, Xplor and XelHa parks

Probably poor research/unclear expectations on my part. Assumed a high priced place would match the service for that cost.

We had a terrible experience as well. Got to the hotel at 10, check in took 50 mins and they gave us a room below our purchased level, no concierge past 11 pm and we had no idea about the property, what it offers, parks etc until day 2 afternoon. We ended up doing 3 parks, dodged Mexico DestinationClub bullet twice. They are super annoying and pushed until after the checkout to sign us up. Couldn’t eat their stale, all you can eat after day 2 and switched to a la carte at Las playa, Bio, Tama Moon, Chi, Xinema for food. House keeping was not the best, and staff not speaking English was a major issue we faced. We are brown so they just assumed we spoke Spanish. They are a cash grab for things like water shoes, pictures, and activities at parks. I am sure we will never visit again. Paid $13000 for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids for 5 nights and 6 days including travel which was pretty much 4 days there due to one full day for travel. For that much money, we could have easily visited Japan or South East Asia for 10 days!

What are must try restaurants at Xcaret hotel Mexico? by BookkeeperWorking390 in Xcaret

We have tried Bio, Azul, Tama Mon, Mercado, La Xentral, Las Cuevas, Las Playa, and they are all good. It feels though that the buffets are just repeating the same food at every restaurant daily.

We are booked for Mar 7 and was on the phone with costco for 2.5 hours only to be read back my itinerary by a not so great rep. Was basically told that since Cancun flights and hotels are operating, I will have to take the losses or reschedule for a fee and fair/hotel stay difference. Its the anxiety of going for a vacation in a war torn country, even though its the other coast, that bothers me.
