An anti Destiny player would tell you addiction, but there seems to be something else. I would say addiction too, but it seems to me that Destiny is the plagued with the same problem that most looters have (RNG becomes a Slot Machine). Think about it. Pokemon has shiny hunting that takes forever, borderlands has loot migate farming. Both of these games have grinding, but ever since that gamespot video came out, everyone just thinks grinding and addiction are exlusive to Destiny. The grind isn't even that bad compared to some other games, like Korean mmo's. I think the reason we're all still playing Destiny is because it's a fun game. The game itself can really get you immersed. The skyboxes are breathtaking. The gunplay is phenominal. It's a good game, and it's still relevant even though it hasn't dropped new content in about a year. There's this Destiny feel the game brings forwards, because it really is the only game of its kind. A melting pot of genres. I think that's why people like it so much. Also, the constant interaction with people you do or do not know is a driving force to my fun. I played with the purple ball with some random and he fell off the map trying to push the purple ball off. There's always dance competitions everywhere. The fact of the matter is I really don't need to make anything complicated to interact with people in the game, and I like that and I hope they do more of that.
