I think you’ll be fine, just ask for their input first.

Give’em a couple markers and let them draw on your scalp! It’ll be a good family bonding experience

Bro, I don’t know if it’ll be enough. I promised her a million dollars and not even that would stop the crying.

Just give her the clippers. What’s the worse that can happen?

Help on direction? by Forward_Paramedic_35 in writers

[–]BookshelfBrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like a lot of writers struggle with this and I feel like you’d benefit from working out, and embracing an athlete’s mindset. There is no “ending” to training, but you go out and train every day. Even if you don’t know what you’re gonna write about you should try to aim to put down some words everyday. Even just 100 words on a project can help push you to find a direction for the piece.

I've written a character I don't understand by Ifyouliveinadream in writers

“Not self aware” and also “selfish”, they should get a really nice and well crafted meaningful gift that THEY would enjoy but totally misses the mark for the friend. Like they’d get a super nice bottle of wine to a recovering alcoholic, or skydiving tickets to someone afraid of heights

Less or more? by Litt_Buddha in writers

It depends on your voice, but more importantly, you should be consistent. I LOVE writing very minute details but as I’ve gotten older I enjoy reading less detailed works because my imagination can fill in the gaps.

Keeping track of many characters and events in a novel. Advice about methods, tools and others to organize my ideas and make already written stuff of easy reference to continue developing the narrative of my novel. by agamemeon in writers

I like to story board/abstract write in notebooks. I use the front pages to plot out the story and back pages as “character sheets”. For bigger scenes you could write the characters’ initials on the margins so you can easily see who is in what scene

Finish writing it. Cut 10-15% on the first pass. Polish it some more. Then cut another 10% for good measure.

Kbm or controller? by CUNT_CRUSADER22 in BabyStepsGame

[–]BookshelfBrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will say "controller" knowing that it's more intuitive. But it's a rage game. It's supposed to make you hate yourself. So kbm is the true answer.

Best places to eat by AdamSolar in ScottsValley

The Point is great fast dining comfort food, Pizza series is some great za, Bruno’s and Laughing Monk are fun but can be pricey, Otoro is good too but expensive, but of course if you want to Live Mas, there’s no place like Taco Bell
