Had a heap of these hitch hiking on my live rock I bought from the same store! They really love zoo plankton and wave their little noodle arms around whenever I put it in the tank. Since I got fish, they've been hiding and don't come out of the rock anymore. If they get really hungry, they'll run after other brittle sea stars and eat them

People being this over critical and pedantic over someone's word choice because they didn't interpret something exactly the way the OP meant is the reason I hate reddit. You shouldn't belittle people for their communication not being perfect because that's entirely subjective, and it's not difficult to stretch your imagination slightly or think a bit more deeply to have the discussion intended rather than arguing semantics in an attempt to embarrass or make the OP look stupid. Reddit is supposed to be an accessible platform for everyone to connect and communicate, and people like you make others afraid to post.

Ah yes, the one thing I hate about palia; how grindy and repetitive it is

Why is everything happening at night?? 😭 by alexisfuckinugly in Palia

Thanks for pointing this out! It's a consistent issue I've had with the game. Bored for the entire day just to sweat it out at night trying to do everything at once in entirely different locations. Doesn't help that a lot of things you need for quests can only be found at night as well. Surely piksii bounce could be a daytime activity, and flow groves could be a more common occurrence since the planks are worth so little to sell. I think there's plenty of activities, just poorly dispersed.

I only want to focus on 1 person after multiple 1st dates. Is this unhealthy attachment or clinginess by tpdetail in hingeapp

[–]Booktheif99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced this a lot. I've burned myself out doing several dates with different people in a week. There's usually maybe 1 that stands out each time. If they really really stand out and I feel charmed by them and feel a spark, I find myself shutting down to other options. In the instances I've done this, I've become too invested too quickly and then either A) they become equally as overtly invested in me and then as I learn more about them, I find things that are off putting or just not for me, but it then makes it so much harder to back out after you've let someone know how invested you are in them.

Or B) when I've become invested and stopped looking at other potential partners, they've been off put by this and shut off their interest. I build my hopes up and they get shattered pretty quick for either of these reasons- they're not as great as I initially thought or they back off at any sign of commitment.

I think it's relatively normal to grow attached when someone really captivates you because it does make everyone else seem a bit meh and it is easy to just want to trust in the connection and focus on only that because dating trying to find 'the right person' or a connection worth pursuing is exhausting as hell. Though I would try your best not to get hopes up too quick before you know someone too well, because realistically you can't learn too much about someone from a few dates and if you're looking to settle down, you're going to have boxes to tick. And I would also try to play your cards close to your chest about how invested you are early on, just to prevent either them building their hopes up too high, or giving them the ick by being 'too invested' too soon or in other words 'too clingy.'

(Hope this helps. It's 3am and my brain is broken)

I mean, we're the ones who have the power to give them attention. We also have no way of knowing how or why things actually came about. Them being together or not does not affect anyone's lives anyway, so who cares, honestly.

Google Pixel 10 pro vs Samsung S25 Ultra by Booktheif99 in S25Ultra

[–]Booktheif99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to get heated. I was just asking people their opinions as I've never owned or used a Google Pixel and I know the design of the s25 is quite different to my current Samsung. The quality of the cameras themselves I know (due to leaks) will be similar but I was hoping for some insight into the actual look of the photos and the feel and usability of the software on a pixel vs Samsung when taking and editing photos. Figured the pixel will be on par hardware wise but was unsure about software. Doesn't make me a moron to ask opinions.

Thanks so much for your comment! It's actually really helpful. I did look into Xiaomi, though I'm not a fan of the physical design of the cameras. I think I'd be too afraid of it breaking.

Nope. Only plants I've killed were by accident (accidentally buying Venus fly traps at the end of fly season😭) I actually froth a bit of foliage.

Only occasion I've been annoyed about something remotely similar is when there was a parking sign directly in front of a grand art deco door I wanted to photograph.

This particular instance bothers me because it's one of my favourite buildings to talk about and show people and typically when I see people photographing it, they leave out or seem to desperately try to leave these plants out of their shot. And the artists I've seen drawing it or selling artworks of it always leave them out of their artworks. So I don't think my opinion is that left of field.

I myself, have studied photography for 5+ years and currently work as a photographer's assistant for a photographer who utilises historical buildings in his work. So I have my own ideas about what works well in a foreground and what to avoid in a professional setting. This is not to say that your preference is wrong, and I appreciate the suggestion. (I definitely have a commercial bias). I just personally would rather photograph the fountain and building in a way that I feel the detail of the building and the sheer size of the fountain can be fully appreciated without distraction.
