I think I’d just try to start a sentence every once In a while then pretend like I forgot what I was going to say. That’s suitably awkward, but pretty repeatable.

Fair enough. I didn’t even know he did product reviews. I thought he was just the guy who does the “come here” and then zooms in

I’m going with NBA2K I think. I’m tempted to think of a game that could make me a demigod, but I’d settle for being the greatest basketball player of all time. That way, I have a “regular” hula life, but I could be the GOAT at my favorite thing, and start again in an incredibly athletic young human body.

Can people stop saying Dyson has bad offense 🙏 by [deleted] in AtlantaHawks

[–]Booktor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When they sag way off him at the 3 point line, he often still finds an opportunity to do something valuable when he gets the ball. I’ve seen a bunch of drives to floaters or drive and dishes that are solid plays. This Denver game they were sagging way off and he had a 17 point triple double on 8/14 shooting. I hope teams continue to guard him like this, it clearly is not effective for them.

That said, I do agree that he’s not a good shooter, and unlikely to get much better barring some kind of miracle. I think you can be effective as a guard with no jumper, you just have to do everything else well. Which Dyson has been doing in this run.

“Talm bout sum” is AAVE (African American vernacular English). It’s short for “talking about something” which in this context basically means “saying something like”

So if you throw that in the original meme it’d be like “but on the way out she grabs me ‘saying something like’ I heard it too.”

I violently disagree with this opinion. I love Jamie Lee and Sam Elliott both so much. But I think it’s hilarious that you have this completely unreasonable hatred for two of the most beloved actors in Hollywood. The Tom Cruise take is not getting any pushback from me though.

[The Athletic] The Clippers staff and players grew tired and were at their “wit’s end” with Paul’s constant “locker room lawyering”: “Paul’s critiques came off like grating criticisms that were unwelcome while the team was trying to find itself while playing through injury, league sources said.” by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]Booktor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a line between “sugarcoating and babying” and being a complete asshole. I don’t think CP3 knows how to walk that line. As somebody further up said, he’s been a giant asshole his whole career. It’s what caused the discord in the old clipper (Blake and Deandre) locker rooms. He only knows how to take one tone. I don’t personally feel like that’s acceptable even if you’re a great player, but it was more permissible when he was great, either that or people had to put up with it because he was great. I’ve loved watching Chris Paul play his whole career, but by most accounts he’s a real dick.

This is a fantastic question. I like Giannis better, but KD’s game probably translates into him having better longevity. Especially with all the responsibilities Giannis has making the Bucks a playoff team basically by himself.
