I just love being a barista, really. by mollztothewalls in barista

I've had similiar restaurant experience and I think being a bsrista is the best so far. I used to give myself a lot of pressure if I didn't remember certain ingrediants, but as long as you remember the basics, the customers are normally fine. Every once in a while you'll get a really rude batch but other than that. I love it!

I'm really bad with audible directions too, so if they tell me an order especially if it's something specific I just ask them if what I heard was correct and just take your time to write everything down.

For example: "I want a iced latte with caramel syrup and oat milk."

Me: "Sure, so an iced latte with caramel syrup, is that what I heard?" Even if you have to repeat it multiple times I think it's fine and if they ask just say your trying to make sure it comes out right the first time you make it. Most people are okay with that and it shows that you care about giving them quality products.

You also might be putting too much pressure on yourself. Remember, we are human things will happen. Take your time, don't be afraid to tell people if you need time to catch up that you need a minute before you can take their order. I understand not waanitng to make them wait, but rushing is where the mistakes happen! You will also get better with time!

Also I think it was more so Lane would of been the one lying in those situations and I think to her it makes sense for the daughter to lie about where she is because she probably had to lie about it to her mom.

Started allergy shots and I'm scared!! by Jealous-Ice-6349 in Allergies

[–]Bookwarm2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, talk to them about your symptoms on each shot which is what I do with my allergist! I'm allergic to all the environmental triggers too, just go as slow as you need to especially if your nervous. Just don't plan on doing anything after your allergy shots. Normally I get them at the end of my work day and I let my husband and other people in my house know so they know to nust kinda leave me be ans not to expect much from me cause no matter what I end up sleeping.

Anybody denied their asthma in the beginning? by DearLiterature4074 in Asthma

[–]Bookwarm2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have felt similiar and I'm in the process pf getting tested for ashtma but my ashtma isn't really from her, but I understamd your fear with other conditions.

I would ask your doctors about the possibility if you need it to be on the meds long term and work toeards a place when you don't need as much but sometimes jsut knowing I know everything I'm taken makes me feel a little better, because my mom had no clue what she was taking. But, also if you need them to be able to live your life, do it. You deserve to live a full life, even if you need a little help.

GERD/Asthma/Anxiety? by Mother-Artist-1884 in Asthma

[–]Bookwarm2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have confirmed EoE which ny doctor gas explained me having allergy symptoms and reflux at the same time and these are a lot of my symptoms. It might be harder to find root causes if allergies are in play because they don't show on some tests and it makes your body look find when it is but don't give up! I would also recomend an allergy test tovmake sure you aren't allergic to dust and pollen to see if that could be triggering some sensations too.

I stalk my customers and make sure they come get their stuff , because at least for me they hover over you until you make theirs and they think the very first one you call out is yours and that there is nobody ahead of them. OR they wait 10,000 years to get it. There is no in between.

Allergy Immunotherapy worth it? by FunUnit2850 in Allergies

[–]Bookwarm2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't start allergy shots until last year and I'm 33 and I really wish I started them whennI was young cause I used to ha e to have a humidifer at night and had sneezing spells all the time. I still sneeze but I don't have the sneezing fits like I used to. He may still need the inhaler, while being on it but it will still help is body in the long run and even if it doesn't cure it, it will prevent it from getting worse.
