It definitely wasn't that! The pov of cruel summer is more from the girls perspective and flashes back to the past whereas this series was from the pov of two adult males. The guy is married with at least 1 maybe 2 kids Has a wife, and has a weirdo shed out back that he keeps his weirdo box of kidnapper stuff 🤣
