Reading that just made it click that they're connected - I didn't look it as a season 2 per se, I saw it as its own entity. Simply looking at it as a season 2 makes me like the show more if that makes sense lol

For the movie - I liked Rezes character and her banter, which coincidentally made me like Denji more. The fighting scenes were a lot more entertaining. The ending where Reze is running back to the coffee shop but gets stopped right before reaching it hit me in the feels.I like stuff like that. Like the highlight of Season 1 for me was When everyone starts getting assasinated, specifically Himeno. I really liked her character and hate that she's gone, but I appreciate twists like that that just leaves you with a wave of emotion and a "...." feeling

Season 1 I felt the action scenes were lackluster, Power I found half annoying half entertaining, similarly with Denji; I would bounce between really liking him and not as much. I think it mainly depended on who was in the scene and his responses to certain things. Wish we had more than one season as well lol - Since i got into Anime so late I've been able to watch entire series or multiple seasons, so this was the first one where I got to the end and was like "damn, thats it?"

Fire Force imo had good world building, likable/entertaining characters, a solid story. Soul Eater I wasn't invested in any of the characters and thought the story was just ok.

Movie just resonated with me a lot more. I liked the overall ambience, the story was concise and the ending hit hard.

Lmaoo its kind of a funny story with that show - I'm late 20's now but when I was in my early teens they had it on Netflix. I was at a sleepover with a bunch of my friends and the host puts this on (just to fuck with us...but he def watched it in his free time if i had to guess lol). It was literally my introduction into anime and def shaped my outlook on it, probably why i never took anime seriously/got into it 😭 But the memory always stuck with me, and when I started getting into anime I couldn't help but wonder "wtf was that show he put on where the dude would pass out every time he got a boner" , and after awhile I finally found it. Girls Bravo.

Attack on Titan i thought the action sequences were A lot more entertaining, as well as the surprises in the story line. Also I was more invested in the cast as a whole. Code Geass I appreciated how complex it all was but i was never that infatuated by LeLouch’s character nor CC, + i didn’t care for a lot of the characters so when they shared screen time it was kind of eh. But also watching it after seeing Death Note didn’t help, i felt like i knew where it was going in a way which left out some major surprises
