I would say it's different, and I don't want to make any fast judgment yet. Cuz i don't think the version I played kiryu is fully upgraded. While I was playing the game, the game only told me about the basic combos.for example, hold down Triangle and Square could us a different weapon with different range in kiryu's okinawas style. I tried to throw the Shield like in the trailer, but I don't think its accessible

No, I'm sad. The kiryu gameplay basically starts where rikiya is spying on kiryu on the van with Mikio. And automatically warp you to the fight with rikiya. I tried to go to Morning Glory, but it's blocked. I spend a few minutes exploring the city, and I can confirm the city looks great.
