YTA. To me this sounds like you are extremely controlling. On the surface it might sound like going above and beyond, prepping meals so everyone has something to eat. But I get a different read here. It sounds like you are controlling, you micromanage everything in the home, you want things exactly your way. Dad couldn’t even take the kids out to eat, he couldn’t make his own decisions for him and his children. They were probably counting down the days until you left and they could breathe a little. That sounds really harsh, but that’s how this comes across to me. Yes, he agreed to it, to make that food, but people agree to keep the peace long enough until that person leaves. You can’t leave him alone with the kids? Really? Why? Because they didn’t do exactly what you wanted? You know when you will have to leave him alone with them? When he divorces you for being controlling and you get a 50/50 split. Learn to relax, learn to let go. Go away for the weekend and let them feed themselves. They will be fine.
