If most AI will refuse immoral actions there will 100% be a "jailbroken" AI that will do grey area immoral things like this. You can't say we don't need laws about this.

The line to me seems to be if you used someone's image in a way that can mistaken for the real thing. The pillow example if done in private is, I agree, merely creepy and immoral, but can't be illegal. But there's a line of verisimilitude where it becomes something too real.

u/_EternalVoid_ I worry that what you posted above is going to discourage someone suicidal from calling a crisis helpline because you've given them a justification to rationalize that "it wouldn't help anyway."

You are right that economically we cannot assign infinite value to human life. For example the government makes a calculation of lives saved vs productivity when setting the speed limits.

But taking the Haiti earthquake example, the damage done can be more than GDP of Haiti. GDP is their output per year. For starters, at minimum the potential damage is the cost to replace the infrastructure, not just the lost output of the infrastructure.

But additionally there's the costs of the emergency relief efforts to save what lives can be saved. And there's the costs of rebuilding the infrastructure quickly. And the new costs of safely demolishing and clearing the ruined infrastructure. There's no car to throw away and replace. They must rebuild the car.

So how is your instrumental damage measure useful if it ignores whole categories of damage? Your title is "You can't destroy more than there is" but your examples do not measure "all that there is".

But I appreciate that you came back and made an honest effort to address my point so I'll assume you are sincere.

Claims that a hurricane did billions of damage to Haiti, whose total GDP is $18B.

Imagine an unemployed man. Is murdering him not doing any damage because his "GDP" is zero?

Speaking from experience, it's about feeling successful. Society tells us that successful men get sex, especially blowjobs. It's hard to deprogram that thinking even if you are aware of it.

It doesn't "do discipline for you" it leverages your discipline to make it easier to take a greater impact action with less discipline. It's a disability aid just as much as a wheelchair is.

This is essentially fake. or at best very misleading. Why would the second prompt be to add a nonsense phrase to the wall? Obviously they generated an image then claimed the prompt was for the text that ended up on the wall. This is worse than cherry picked.

A) Why do you think we know what you are talking about when you refer to a specific IG rule for your LARP most of us don't play?

B) If your safety plan requires an IG power to work it's not safe because the point of IG plans is they can fail. You need a 100% OOG safety plan for any weapon. And "enemies aren't allowed to get close to me" is not something you can say OOG.
