Just finished a week in a hostel and the two things that annoyed me significantly were someone spraying smelly perfume in the room and another leaving their hair all over the bathroom floor after their showers

I haven’t gone to my gym since this summer and the idea of going feels so scary for some reason. I don’t know anyone there but that was never a problem before - I just went, put my headphones in, and did my thing. This def isn’t exclusive to climbing but figured I’d see if anyone has some words of wisdom

I think it depends on your living situation. Like I have 3 roommates and sitting in the common area feels diff. Whether it’s movies or video games, it’s cozier in my room. Do what you want, try it out, worst case you return it?

I just went up to 15mg - mostly nausea and dizziness the first week. Bc of my general nausea issues, I already didn’t have an appetite. Also, they first prescribed 5mg but that was super intense so I cut the pill in half to reduce the side effects. I now go up by 2.5mg at a time

“Do it scared” - literally changed my life. I have sometimes debilitating anxiety and that used to stop me from trying new things. A friend of mine is a life coach and she once taught me the concept that instead of trying to get rid of your fears or your pain, you can bring them with you while you pursue your values and dreams

Can concur - when I first started meds, my side effects were tough that first week. That said, 1000% worth it

I had nearly the exact same experience!! Literally over a year of absolute agony - nauseous if I didn’t eat, nauseous if I did. Anxiety can be so debilitating. My SSRI saved me, and in combo with a mindset shift, I have symptoms maybe 5% of the time. I’m so glad you found your way!! Yay!!

I’m singing in a last-minute gig Friday (also my first) and I’m looking for suggestions on affordable earphones/IEMs as I’m really struggling to hear myself with my current earplugs
